It’s was about 8:30pm that day when the call came in. Hey Awesome, what’s up? Can you do me a favor? Oh okay, What’s that Femi? I replied. Well one of my girls is having difficulties getting a ride this night. She is going to the house of my boss *PRETTY MIKE* to spend the night, He said. I laughed, Ahhh Legend! So Pretty Mike Has caught Another UNILAG babe! Na wa. So where is his place? I asked. Ikeja, he replied. I said okay, but hope say you go pay me Femi? I had to ask because Femi can be funny and evasive sometimes, well aren’t all Femi’s like that. So he said don’t worry she will pay you, I said no wahala. So I set out from my Place outside school and drove down to Unilag. I parked at her Hostel, the Great Makama bida Hall (for the record I still remain the first man to enter that girls hostel 😌 when it was opened to boys. Calm down.. It’s not what you think o. Na Saszy my sister carry me enter o. )
So there I was parked, Femi gave her my number so she called and I told her where I was parked. I could see the sleek, sexy young girl approaching from my side mirror. I could see her long smooth legs and perfectly shaped breast and curves from the mirror. Chaiiii, na pretty Mike Dey chop this one? God when oo... I said to my self.
Then she opened the door and entered my car. I looked at her face and she looked at mine. Awkward Silence filled the Air. Then finally I spoke...... GLORY?
AWESOME? She replied....
She was my Ex-girlfriend. we had just separated the previous semester. I was shocked, she was shocked we were both shooked 🙂
She sunk into the chair, she couldn’t say a word. I quickly comported myself and continued with the task at hand, delivering her to the slaughter house. Ikeja right? I said. She replied, hmmm. As we drove off, I put on some music and even put The A.C to the highest so that her sweating won’t spoil her make up.
The silence was deafening, so I decided to take the High road. I started some small talk so as to make her feel comfortable. Soon she was able to relax. We were gisting and laughing about random things. Then she said, I didn’t know you now had a car, and I replied well a lot of unexpected things can happen within a short period of time. I was making reference to her graduating from awesome to pretty Mike in a few Months.
When we got to his house. She smiled and said you have my number now, let’s do some catching up. I smiled and said Sure. My bank is Fidelity if you are going to do a transfer. She laughed and transferred my money to me, just then I saw pretty mike step out of the house to come pick her. She begged, please don’t let him see you. I was confused. Shey baba know who I be ni?
I drove out of the compound and park at a corner. I called Femi immediately... Bro, you no tell me say na my Ex I Dey go carry na. He shouted! Yeeeehhh I no know oo. Bro I’m sorry, hope you are good? I said sure it’s alright I’m fine. I Dey drive go house now. I trust you na, you be Awesome! He said. I smiled, Little did he know I had bought bread and suya and was eating it while driving home with tears in my eyes playing ‘Don’t you remember, the reason you left me..... by Adel 😭😭
Well What is the moral of this story? Well One, bread, suya and Adel is a perfect remedy for Heartbreak and Two, buy my tickets and support A dream, so at least one day Glory will see me on t.v and go and buy her own Bread and Suya with tears in her eyes listening to Sad songs 😁
