Going to church is important but when there are alot of things not going too well in ones life,should should be the major point of focus.

I believe God also doesn't want us to do his biddings out of discomfort. Imagine ignore your accademic life just to suit the church. Oh common! That's a **No** 

Nobody wants to associate with a loser and when one is a loser he/she doesn't have much to contribute to the church or society..So yeah I support your judgement.

You made use of the words: *their rehearsals, their Friday night rehearsals, their Saturday rehearsal*, you already know what you want.

It's time for you to accept the change that is taking place... When you first got to college, you did everything that who help you stay ahead and now you are years older and their are decisions you have to take and have.already weighed the possible outcome.
This is life and you are on the right course, just pull the plug because the ball is in your court.

Just cut the useless faith to the church and wake up!! :P

On a seriously, it is properly good to focus more on your studies if you want to work with that in the future. Bad grades are not good :D

@starstrings01 You really don't need to worry too much about not meeting up with the church activities as expected for now, God sees your sincere heart to serve and he won't judge you by paying attention to your primary academic focus as long as you will return fully when you have lesser work load in school later.. 

Church remains constant you can always return to church anytime but achieving your desired grade in school is timely and you must not miss the time. So, kindly be time  conscious and do the needful by placing priority on your studies. Nevertheless, let your heart remain connected with God and attend church services seldomly when you know you can, till everything becomes balanced and you are more free with your current school attention demanding period.

God will help you bro. 

There are seasons in life. and you can't stress yourself when you realize that limitations are holding you back from doing EVERYTHING.

1. Get a piece of paper  
2. Get a pencil or pen
3. Write down the priorities in your life.
4. REARRANGE THOSE PRIORITIES AFTER YOU WRITE THEM DOWN.


this is so important.
why?

because we often SAY what is #1, #2, #3.... but are they really?????

what is REALLY most important to you right now????

LIST IT THAT WAY.


then - arrange your activities in life ACCORDING TO THOSE PRIORITIES.

Not according to guilt, or expectation, or pressure from family or friends.

but arrange your life ACCORDING TO YOUR PRIORITIES AT THE TIME.


And then?  You will not feel stressed about any of it.  Because when your day is done - you'll say - I behaved in a way TODAY that aligned with the things MOST IMPORTANT to me right now.

and then you will sleep well.

if you find that you didn't act accordingly to those priorities?  dont stress!!!!

just make sure that the next day aligns with them again :)


When you wake up? It's always a new opportunity to make the next day better!

Such a bold decision you had to do there. Great to see that you're doing everything you can to balance your time, but sometimes, the hours on a day are simply not enough. Hoping for more success your way!

It is very possible to be multi invested in things.

I did it while in school, business, church (leadership), and books. And other stuffs I did like music and video editing, even want to do a web designing course.

Thats how you literarily become a man. Lol

Me add in hive to my schedule wasn't as difficult because it has always been my way. 

Sitting and being idle can make me sick. If I don't have 10things tuning frequencies up there in my mind, it feels dead.

You should be glad you can offer something. But turning down Church activities is not be the best.

And I can tell cos I ve also been there. 

In life, what matters the most is the heart. With it you serve God, and it must be in humility and reverence. This life is one, and it has to matter, nothing else make it matter than service rendered to Him. 

Your small contribution goes a long way, but this don't mean that If you live they won't replace. If it has to do with God and spiritual matters, it wont be the best option.
Don't tamper with it.

Now I know it is not like you re stopping church, but a little leavening.. Takes the whole lump. Satan can be so cunning. 

I have said much. But I think you should rethink, Picture the good end and God will help you.

You need a balance and if cutting out rehearsals is the balance then take it, you can still attend weekday services and Sunday which is important for your fellowship with God.

Well, one thing has to step down for a while. Christ loves us so much, and He understands us. As much as Stewardship in Church is part of Service, Christ is more concerned about our heart. Don’t feel bad for making a decision that is clearly right.😊

Hehehe this is a serious something in Nigerian universities o. I have friends that ended up having bad grades because all their time was spent going to church. I'm not against church o or religious union o,but it should be levelled at least. Some unions have programs for student 4 times a week and they expect workers to be present at all times. 
That can't work if they are students. 

In my year 1 was in a fellowship that demanded that, omo, I ran away o. 

Just do what to do to pass your exams my brother.  We serve God not Man!

Well, I believe your service in church is spiritual so if you're convinced in your spirit that it is the right thing to do, then go ahead.
