This is actually my first post made to the bdcommunity and I would love to be discussing about a peculiar topic. I chose this topic to share my feeling, view and thoughts as hive is the one place I can open my thoughts.

Yesterday, I was discussing this topic with my cousin. He asked me who I was dating and my reply was no body and he asked why am I not in a relationship that I am a handsome young man and old enough to be in one but my reply was I am not ready for it yet.

Before I go on my discussion on the topic, I would love to define each term; **_Love, relationship and marriage._**

**What does it mean to be in Love?**

We all know that there are different kinds of love, but the love we are talking about it the love that concerns relationship matters. 

So my definition of love is **_Being in love to my understanding is when you have a deep feeling for someone that goes beyond the person's physical appearance, and wanting to be and interact with the person_**

**What does being in a relationship with someone mean?**

To my understanding,**_when you are in a relationship with someone, you both are aware of the feelings you have for each other and are dating each other._**


**What does marriage mean?**

My understanding about marriage is that; **_It is the union of two people who are ready to be together for the rest of their life and also work together for the growth of themselves._**

Having said all this, I feel when you are in a relationship, it should be working towards marriage. That's one reason I am not in a relationship. In this century we are in now, so many relationship are built only for fun, and on lust. Most of those type of relationship doesn't lead to marriage and if they ever did it won't be one that might last.

It is always best to be in relationship with someone that you started as friends. Someone who you can interact and work with, someone who knows most of the things you detest and love. Not someone you get physically attracted to and immediately you want to have a relationship with that person.

That's the main reason I am still Single, it is not because I haven't seen a person I like or attracted to physically but someone who I can grow with from friendship. If I wanted to be a multi relationship, I would be by now because I can't count how many times I have been asked out by ladies. And again, approaching someone who you haven't known for a while or had interacted with for a relationship might be from lustful desire.

Falling in love with someone should be a two way sided thing and should not be based on physical appearance. Though, your physical appearance is paramount in a relationship but it also goes way beyond that. Nothing remains constant as such, beauty fades. I have come to think of what it would be of having a relationship or being married to someone based on the beauty of the person. What would happen when beauty fades.

**In conclusion**
When you meet a person, you might get attracted to the physical appearance but still don't rush for a relationship. Make friends with the person, try to learn more about the person then if the person possess great characters that rhyme with the yours, you can approach the person or let the feelings grow from both sides (which is best) and if it doesn't work out, move on. Relationships are not by force, so don't pressurise anybody for one. The right person can be just around the corner.
