I am so much grateful for so many things in my life but boiling it down to a single thing, I am grateful for “**GRACE**”.

I don’t believe my power is enough to get me to where I want to be or what I want, so everyday of my life, I pray for grace.

Like seriously, God’s Grace is the one reason why I am alive today, the one reason why I am healthy, the one reason why I found Hive, the one reason why I am still striving on Hive and the one reason why I am able write this blog 

Then after grace, I can begin to mention others in which the first are my parents. They mean the world to me.

When I used to be a little kid, my parents were strict and disciplined. They made sure my siblings and I grew to be responsible children. 

Not that they remained strict or them being harsh. They are just the type that do not accept indiscipline or immoral acts.

These morals they have imbibed in me has been a good guide in my life. They have helped me in decision making. It has saved me from taking wrong decisions that may have been of great regret.

Parents are angels God has given us in human form because without them, many children would have been left astray, many would have suffered and many would not have survived the harsh world we live in.

Look at most fathers today especially my father. He goes out everyday hustling for daily bread for his family. I never knew how tough his job could be until I worked with him once.

He works as an Elevator Engineer. Constantly, he moves from one company to another checking the elevators and sometimes, we sleep there until we find the solution to the fault of the elevator. Not to even mention the stress that comes in mounting in a fresh elevator.

The stress he passes through at the age of 56 is a lot. Even me who is not yet half his age felt it on my body during my time working with him. I am grateful for having him as my father, most especially for what he passes through everyday for us.


Now to my mother; I call her: **My First Wife** sometimes, I call her **My First Love**. I love her so so much more than anything the world has to offer.

The truth is  when I was younger, I don’t usually love my mum this way because my mum was a real disciplinarian. I thought she hated me as a child at first because she hits me hard if I do something wrong. I can never forget the series of punishment she has given me. 

In my mind, I thought she hated me but as I grew up, I got to understand that she was acting upon this famous bible quote: ***Spare the rod and spoil the child***. The true fact is I am who I am because of her. She did all she did so I would desist from the act and not make it an habit.

My dad provides daily bread for the family but my mother shapes the home for the family. She is the pillar of the home because without her, all the children; my siblings and I would have gone astray. **I am grateful for having her in my life**

At that point, I saw the fear in my parents eyes most especially my mother. She was begging me to get well, and was praying really hard for me to get better. I am not the first born born, neither the last but yet I saw how much they cared for me. **I am forever grateful for having them in my life and for surviving that near death experience.***</center>

The next thing that I am grateful for, are the teachers and mentors I have come across in life. They are the next angels in my life because I know today has been through their help. 

Like seriously, without teachers and mentors in this world, how would it have been? It is generally impossible for them not to exist because they are natural essentials for the growth of every individual.

I would not have survived on Hive without having *someone to meet to if I don’t understand a thing, someone to correct me for every mistakes I make, someone to show me the right path.* These are what mentors/teachers do. ***I am grateful for all the teachers and mentors that have helped and directed me on what I needed to know.***
