Dear friends of Hive, this year has been an exceptional year for mushroom lovers, far and wide in the Alpine and pre-Alpine territory, from my Venetian Pre-Alps to Austria and Slovenia, large quantities were collected between September and October especially of porcini mushrooms, "they came up like mushrooms", as they say!

And to think that I would never have said it, after a summer characterized by a record drought, with arid lands like never before, we were not expected to even sprout grass, surely not mushrooms and instead... Surprisingly for many it was a year to remember, from which legends will arise, which will be handed down from one mushroom hunter to another, such as, "we walked over the mushrooms", or "you don't belive, they were as big as watermelons, but they were mushroom ! ".

Surely they will tell a lot of them, but I in my small way, fortunately or not, because I managed to go there only once, to make my mother happy more than anything else, I can share that it was really profitable, both in quantity and quality. Especially considering that we are going in the afternoon, after the woods had already been scoured by the masses, spending no more than a couple of hours, because it was already late.

Despite times adverse to the habits of the mushroom hunter, in a short time we collected about 4kg of only porcini mushrooms, all very fresh and healthy, which at the next stage of cutting, were pure and without parasites, so much so that we did not discard anything. Too bad not having had more time available, both that day and in those to come, it would have been possible to obtain excellent harvest results, but due to commitments and unforeseen events, I had to settle for this one day.

But to be honest, more than to collect mushrooms, which I like and am passionate about, it is to be in the middle of the woods, between fir trees and moss, where you breathe another world, you forget about the problems and the society that always is crazier and more frenetic, you go back to your essence and breathe, you really breathe.

Cari amici di Hive, quest'anno per gli amanti dei funghi è stato un anno eccezionale, sul territorio alpino e prealpino, in lungo e in largo, dalle mie Prealpi Venete all'Austria e Slovenia, tra settembre e ottobre sono stati raccolti grandi quantità di porcini soprattutto, "venivano su come funghi", come si suol dire!

E pensare che non lo avrei mai detto, dopo un'estate caratterizzata da una siccità da record, con i terreni aridi come non mai, non ci si aspettava che spuntasse nemmeno l'erba, altro che i funghi e invece... A sorpresa di molti è stata un'annata da ricordare, da cui nasceranno leggende, che saranno tramandate da un fungaiolo all'altro, del tipo, "si camminava sopra i funghi", o "non puoi capire, erano grandi come angurie, ma erano funghi!".

Sicuramente se ne racconteranno tante, ma io nel mio piccolo, fortunatamente o meno, perché sono riuscito ad andarci solo una volta, per fare felice più che altro mia madre, posso condividere che è stato davvero proficuo, sia in quantità che qualità. Soprattutto se si considera che siamo andare nel pomeriggio, dopo che i boschi erano già stati perlustrati dalle masse, spendendoci non più di un paio d'ore, perché si era fatto già tardi.

Nonostante orari avversi alle consuetudini del fungaiolo, in poco tempo abbiamo raccolto circa 4kg di soli porcini, tutti freschissimi e sani, che alla fase successiva del taglio, erano puri e senza parassiti, tanto che non abbiamo scartato nulla. Peccato non aver avuto più tempo a disposizione, sia quel giorno, che in quelli a venire, si sarebbero potuti ottenere ottimi risultati di raccolto, ma a causa di impegni e imprevisti, mi sono dovuto accontentare di quest'unica uscita.

Ma a dirla tutta, più che per raccogliere i funghi, che mi piace e mi appassiona, è per stare in mezzo al bosco, tra gli abeti e il muschio, dove respiri un altro mondo, ti dimentichi dei problemi e della società che è sempre più pazza e frenetica, torni alla tua essenza e respiri, respiri davvero.

Seppure a primo incontro può sembrare pericoloso, nonostante la stazza minuta, per il suo modo schivo e gli atteggiamenti intimidatori che esercita scuotendo il bastone per proteggere il suo habitat, vi posso assicurare che risulta poi innocuo, anche se è sempre meglio prestare attenzione quando lo si incontra libero nel suo ambiente.</i>
