STEEM blockchain speed

<h3>STEEM speed</h3>If STEEM's blockchain is faster than Bitcoin AND Ethereum.. then why isn't it used more widely as a crypto-"currency"?

I know that there are stores online, and even some physical ones that accept the STEEM Dollar and maybe some that accept STEEM, but what if everyone knew the benefits and _speed_ of using STEEM?

Now don't get me wrong I love Steemit and the community we've created, but outside of Steemit.. STEEM itself can compete with Bitcoin.. So with a community of 100,000+ users I'm sure we can all come up with ways and opportunities to grow both STEEM and Steemit on a global level!
