<center><h3>Twitter vs Hive</h3></center>

If we were to go back to 2016 and look at my Hive posts, you would probably see me posting about how I am leaving all Web 2 social networks like Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter, because I thought EVERYTHING was possible on Hive!

Keep in mind this was when Hive was ONLY a blogging site, and did not have all of the great dApps and communities that it has today.

However, even though I have posted over 4,000 posts on Hive since 2016... I find myself more on Twitter than I do on Hive these days. 🤔

I am not sure if it is because interaction on Twitter seems to be way more, but it is weird especially when most of the people I interact with **are** my Hive friends!  

<center><h3>The big question</h3></center>

I remember using things like Zappl, which was basically twitter on Hive, and when Appics first was announced, and I was very excited because it was like the social networks I used, but wasn't able to use those on a Web 3 social network yet.

There was one thing I noticed though... It seemed to me that people did not seem to "upvote" the tweet style posts, and it is understandable if you think about how much trash could be spammed here if people thought it was okay to monetize on every thought that came into their head!

So it comes to this _question_ of what is acceptable content and what is not?

I could see how quick posts like maybe stats, scores, motivational quotes, photos, NFTs, and things like that could still be valuable, and would be worth it to many people to upvote that.

I also could see how somethings are hard to validate as original, authentic, or even not just copied from multiple accounts.

I still see a lot of posts about @Appics by @mrs.steemit around the Crypto Space, but they have migrated to a cousin of Hive, which is Telos. (_Back story - Dan Larimer created Steemit, and the community forked to Hive, and Dan also created EOS after Steemit, and that community forked to Telos._) 

So I guess I could say that I answered my own question... In order to protect against spam, it seems as if a level of "quality" is expected when posting on Hive, but in a Tiktok 3 second world it is worth it to take some time to create quality posts.  Instead of just posting every 5 minutes because you're bored.
