Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

It only shows people that regularly upvote each other or @steembasicincome, but with multiple units for bigger upvotes. That makes sense, because we have over 4000 active members across ten pools. All of those interrelationships would be too much for this chart.

There continue to be a lot of interrelationships in our cluster this time, which we believe is a healthy development. The massive rise in contests has made a major contribution to that, with many of the biggest contest sponsors and participants showing up in the chart.
<h3> Member spotlight: @contestkings </h3>
With that in mind, lets look at one of our members with the fastest growing unit levels, @contestkings! This will give a good look into what the interrelationships look like for major contest advocates, sponsors, and promoters!

As to be expected, @steembasicincome still has prominent placement within this chart, since SBI levels are such an attractive prize. We also see the main players backing the @contestkings project, other contest hosts that they collaborate with, and even a few more subscription upvote programs. 

It's good to see that these major contest promoters have a firm grasp of how to network and utilize the various promotion services in existence to further their goal of spreading fair contests with minimal RC and VP costs of entry. After [our interview](https://steemit.com/interviews/@steembasicincome/sbi-interview-with-dosdudes) with @dosdudes last week, I would really expect nothing less. These guys have a great perspective on the future of Steem, and are heavily invested in helping people succeed on Steem!

<h2> Upvoting Bonuses</h2>
Each time we receive author rewards for a post or comment by any official SBI account, we identify the value that each member added to the reward using their upvotes. That value will be added to the member's balance, with a multiplier of 1.34x.

For example, if you upvote us by $0.10, then $0.134 would be added to your balance when the post pays out. This would result in you receiving $0.10 back, even after curation rewards. In most cases, this means that a vote for SBI is more profitable than a self-vote. 

You are rewarded directly for your contribution to the long-term sustainability of the program! You do still have to be enrolled in @steembasicincome to receive this benefit.

<h2>Enrollment</h2>
If you want to get involved, or to increase the share of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:

Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 unit in the program. You can sponsor *any* active Steemian, it does not have to be a current member.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. If we choose to accept SBD without refunding it, you do *not* receive extra value for it.

Enrollments are processed automatically every 144 minutes. Confirmation transactions are still manual and typically are sent within 2-3 days. Even if you have not received a welcome transaction, you can check your status using `!sbi status` in any post or comment.

<h3>SBI Writer's Group Needs Your Help</h3>

You do not already have to be a member of Steem Basic Income to take up this opportunity, but a basic working knowledge of SBI would help.
