Doomsday Scenarios - False Vacuum Theory

The universe can prepare its own doom without any outer help. Do you think because of the energy levels and particle speed the universe can face with nothingness ? Lets take a look to **False Vacuum Theory**.

#### What is the main idea behind it ?

Everything in the universe want to move with their minimum potential energy and they act that way. As an instance when you fill a water in to something it starts to move to to the bottom of the glass or when you kick some stone from the top of the mountain after this push it starts to roll over the mountain. It is not just because of gravitiy force but all the particles act in this way.

###### There is a 2 Layered Problem

As you may remember from highschool physics when an objects come to its minimum potential energy it gains speed , kinetic energy. According to this information when all the atoms in the universe move towards to it's minimum energy level they will create more average energy and this increase in the energy can change the manual settings of the atoms. Second one is quite more intriguing and hot. The universes current reached or will reach energy level not might be the lowest possible potential energy point. Therefore our current universe might be in a **false vacuum** state.

As you can clearly see from the graph , there might be a global minimum energy point for universe and the universe might be didn't reach that point yet and it still might be in some local minimum energy point. Worst case scenario with some [quantum tunelling](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_tunnelling) we can set in motion to our universe and while we are doing this our universe can create a massive high and fast energy that can destroy anything in the universe.

It is quite much easier what will happen when we reach global minimum it is complete **nothingness**
