The First TWO Hours Tip the Balance: the Outline of Trending Process

<p>Analyzing some of my most successful (and failed) posts I understood that the first two hours are a decisive factor in trending process and now I'd like to show you the step-by-step process of voting.<br>

  <li>00:00 - the time when you publish your post. It is resting in the very top of the new page and waits for the first user to upvote it.&nbsp;</li>
  <li>00:00 - 00:15 - At this very moment your post can be noticed either by somebody who has just published their post as well or by upvoting bots (if you are in their voting list). Some of your followers (if you have some) can upvote your work as well if they notice the article in their feed.</li>
  <li>00:15 - 01:00 - this is when you need to do your best to get your post to the hot category. Initiate some discussion in the commentaries, react to what is suggested by the users and be engaged in the processes concerning your post.</li>
  <li>01:00 - 02:00 - if you succeed in getting your article to the hot - this is the time for you to keep calm and wait - if the content is good enough and some whale is passing by - your post will get to the trending.</li>
  <li>The more upvotes you get from usual users, the more you earn from bots and whales, this is why the first two hours are so important. The sum you obtained during this period is likely to remain almost the same without any dramatic changes.&nbsp;</li>

yes good info indeed ! i think the posting time is essential too, i know as i posted a nice piece i thought, but at really a bad time. ; - ( 6 in the morning as i was excited to get it up, it flopped and disappeared like you say here !! sucks really. By the way can one repost a thing if they believe it is worthy of more, or will i be Cheetahed for it ??

Well, as far as I know, it's possible to feature new authors. Though this is quite a controversial issue. As for the timing, yes, that's very important. I have conducted a couple of surveys concerning time as well, you can find those posts on my blogging page. Good luck!
