<p>Here comes a list of the most common mistakes that lead to failures on Steemit. Read the post and fix what's wrong!</p>

<h2>1. No images</h2>
<p>Image is an extremely important part of your message, this is your first touch when addressing to your potential reader. The RIGHT image is a horizontal pic, quite colourful but not acid. The idea behind your story should be somehow expressed on the photo. Let's look at an example of a &quot;right&quot; post:<br />

<p>This is one of my favourite posts. The main image reflects the methaphor lying behind the text and draws attention. Main colours: blue, white and black (the colours of Steemit) =&gt; unverbal communication.  </p>
<h2>2. Boring heading</h2>
<p>&quot;About myself&quot;, &quot;Hello, Steemit&quot; and &quot;How to write a good story&quot; are no longer actual. Such sick headings get lost in the torrent of new posts on Steemit. Think of something fresh and modern but not toooo complicated. Some capslock is also a good think though it can become your bitterest enemy if you overdo with the tool. The heading should not be too long (8-12 words are good enough)</p>
<h2>3. Sick first paragraph</h2>
<p>The first paragraph is seen from the main page of the website and determines whether users get interested and click on your post. Only 10-15% of all users read your story to the end, all others simply upvote if they find the pics and the heading interesting and whether they think that the story is likely to succeede. </p>
<h2>4. No paragraphs in the text </h2>
<p>Organize your content so that it would be easy to orientate in the forest of your thoughts and find the necessary information.</p>
<h2>5. Vague  timing</h2>
<p>Write first, publish later. The best time for publishing in the US (New York time) is from 10:00 to 23:00. Many forget that their potential readers are Americans who are most active on the website from 18:00 to 22:00. Don't forget that time in your country may differ ;)</p>
<h2>6. Bad English</h2>
<p>Stick to the rules and don't overdo with all those &quot;'em&quot; and &quot;ain't&quot;. The thing that is clear for an American when we speak about slang can be difficult for a non-native speaker to get. </p>
<h2>7. Bad choice of tags</h2>
<p>Use the most important tag first. Use 2 popular tags (the first two) and then some unusual. This is a SEO instrument used in Instagram for example. The first two popular tags help your story to get upvotes quite fast and the other three let you be read over and over again in the future. <br />
