I've got a dang nab rant for your consideration.

I work in a flooring warehouse. We move carpets, vinyls, ceramics, and so on. It is heavy and dirty work but it isn't so bad. Unless...

Two months ago, we got a pallet loaded with the wrong laminate flooring. The people who messed it up never came back to get it and it eventually got shoved into a corner and buried behind other pallets and, like all goods doomed by bureaucracy, forgotten. Then, yesterday, the paperwork goes through. Now I move everything out of the dust, retrieve the pallet, and place it in an easy to access area.

As I do this, I tell my boss we need the dumpster emptied. If the dumpster fills, the installers will shrug and put their trash in piles wherever. My boss waffles because he doesn't want to spend anything and decides to put it off one more day. 

This morning, my pallet is buried under six feet of tack strip full of nails, cheap trash bags shredded and falling loose with razor blades, glue spill, piss carpet, chew spit, and possibly crime scene forensic evidence.

Then the trucker shows up for the pallet. 

Actually, I realize now that this is more of a story than a rant. Well, It is a story I felt like telling. Maybe not bad for my first try. Thank you for reading.

So around 1 week ago I was in such a good mood. I was constantly refreshing the price to make sure it wasn't just my hangover that made me se unclear, but indeed the SBD was shooting up like a rocket ! 🚀 

It felt like I was walking on cloud nine and I was so psyked. I carefully horded as many SBD as I could and then finally I sent it to an exchange. I was refreshing the site again and again and again. Hi arent SBD transactions supposed to be lightning fast ? 

Well not if you send your hard earned money to the sons of B....es Poloniex ! I checked it the next day as well as I thought there might be some delay but still nothing.... Hm the high sbd value was slowly going lower... 

Then I read a post on Steemit that Poloniex are probably withholding the money and doing some trading themselves while the price is high. 

So here I am one week later. My knuckles are bruised. My laptop screen is broken. The vase I got as a wedding present is half glued together but basically I will never be able to restore it ... 

So what can you do? You take this perfect opportunity to rant a bit and hopefully more people will know better than to send to Poloniex ! What is good with Steemit is you can always earn some more SBD which I certainly am planning to do while the SBD is still high. But I won't send a fraction of it to the piece of shit Poloniex .

In-game app purchases (IAPs), mainly in the form of loot box gambling, gachapon, or whatever else you call it, seems to have been getting more exposure in the mainstream media lately, and for good reason.  But for all the noise and chatter about addictions and targeting vulnerable people, the media seems to have glossed or even skipped over some other shitty aspects of IAPs and how they negatively impact the player experience that I want to rant about today.

I assume that all of these big "social" games with IAPs use some sort of behavioral analyzing technology to try to figure out how best to rip us players off and throw money away on one of their IAPs.  If a game doesn't, then the company behind that game isn't trying their best to optimize their revenue streams.  And if a game does, then it (and the company) should be capable of figuring out what's the likelihood of a certain player making an IAP, target the ones who are throwing their money away, and leave alone those who aren't and have no reason to.  I'm one of those folks who have never made an IAP and should be left alone.  But corporate dipshits think otherwise, so I say let's look at some personal metrics.

In the social casino app "1 Fake Fortune Plus 1388 Bankruptcies"*, I have to deal with a fucking pop-up almost every time I open up the app asking me to make an IAP before I even pick out a slot machine.  Today's special "deal" happens to be 3.15 billion bullshit coins for USD$99.99... are you fucking kidding me, dipshit game company?  The max bet you have on any of your games in this app is 3/4ths of a billion bullshit coins, so you're telling me that a max bet is almost $25 of real money?  A fake wager with fake coins with no possible real payout (just more fake coins for a winning spin) and you believe it's worth $25?  _Come on, dumbass!_  And here's the kicker: I've already accumulated well over 600 billion of your bullshit coins and I could easily will my way into being a fake-ass trillionaire if I wanted to because your app design is crap!  So, dipshit game company, you can bet your candy ass that I will _NEVER_ make an IAP.  Why do you continue to waste your effort and my time on a bullshit la-la land event that's never going to happen?!  Save us both the headaches and just let me experience the machines in peace while you go after someone else who is more willing to be fleeced.  Come back _only after_ you're willing to give me 100 SBD with every $100 bullshit coin package purchase!  Then I'll think about (and probably make) that IAP you so fucking covet.  Better yet, why don't _you, the fucking dumbass game company_ buy out my stack of fake coins instead?  You established that there's supposed to be some real value to it, now back it up!  Oh that's right, you can't because (1) you'd run afoul of federal laws and (2) you'd have to do this for other players too and you'd go bankrupt.

And if you thought that app was fucked up, wait until you hear about the social casino app that I call "Crackpot Insolvency Rave"*.  To their credit, they aren't as pervasive on the fucking pop-ups, but golly, they still come up too often and their special "deals" are even more bullshitty and cringeworthy than in 1FF+1388B.  The max bet possible anywhere in this app is 3 billion bullshit coins, and today's "sale" is 1.3 billion bullshit coins for USD$99.99.  That's right, by this app's fucked-up valuation measures one fake max bet with fake coins should be worth over $230 in real cash.  Seriously?!  I don't think there's enough expletives in the world to describe just how wrong that is.  My bullshit balance (and that of probably hundreds if not thousands of other players too) on this app already makes me a fake-ass multi-trillionaire.  What kind of use could I possibly have for 1.3 billion bullshit coins?  Has your behavioral analysis tech been completely unable to comprehend the fact that I will _NEVER_ need to buy more bullshit coins?  Hell, even an old trillion-dollar bill from Zimbabwe has more legit value than this.  (SMH...) So again, just leave me alone unless you're willing to pay me 100 SBD with every $100 purchase of counterfeit coin!  Save your effort and my time, will you?!

All this junk and bullshit was with just 2 of the more visible and popular social casino apps out there.  So you take the genre as a whole (and heck, even all social games as a whole) and try to imagine what kind of fucking IAP cesspool it is.  Yuck.

I wish I had something to rant about, I just had one about bittrex doing facial recognition, but am beyond the rant stage now...on to looking for alternatives, Next time though, I know where to go :)

Grrrr but i'm not angry now

Many bad things have happened lately. Will start off not-TL;DR for my first post. Here's what happened to me the other day.

Since it's winter here  now, my toes get kinda chilly when sitting around at the computer. To somewhat counteract my toes turning into fishsticks, I like to put a hot water bottle on my feet.
After the water had cooled down I went downstairs to refill the hot water bottle. This time I decided to not be wasteful and wash my face with the water that was still in the old bottle.  
So I screw open the hot water bottle and start washing my face. After a couple of seconds I notice the water tastes kind of funny. I wasnt sure what the case was. 
-Is it salty?
-Did I use too hot water and end up melting the rubber?
Turns out someone had put vinegar into the water cooker in the morning to  clean off the calcification.
At the time I kept calm, since it wasnt their fault, but I still ended up smelling like vinegar for several hours. The smell just wouldnt go away. 
My uvula has had a sore sensation after this took place. Several times a day, one of my nostrils feels like it's on fire when I breath in. To somewhat cope, ive been slightly opening my mouth to reroute the airflow.

Anyone who rents accommodation will have plenty of stories like this, but I've got to get it out there because its just so ridiculous. 

When my wife was a university student, she rented a small house along with a few of her friends and I used to stay with her fairly regularly. As I said, everyone who rents has horror stories of terrible landlords or neighbors, but I think this one really takes the piss. 

The landlord was generally completely useless- he had a 'handyman' called Alan who would appear to do a shit job of half-fixing whatever problem we had reported. Alan pulled all the wallpaper off of s wall that had damp, chipped away a load of the damp plaster, and then just left it. Alan replaced a door with a piece of wood that you jammed in the hole. Alan was totally shit. 

But there was one problem that even Alan couldn't fix. One day, we started to notice there were quite a few flies around the house. Over the next few hours, dozens and dozens of flies started appearing. The downstairs rooms of the house were thick with them. We phoned the landlord, who literally told us that it 'wasn't his problem' as it was a Saturday, and to phone him again on Monday. Ok dude, not like your tenants are practically fighting off a plague or anything!

We bought fly strips, those dangling lines with sticky stuff on. They were pretty successful. We had a good laugh when one of my wife's housemates accidentally became entangled in one. After a while, the flies died down. 

The next week, after doing the square root of fuck all to help, the landlord announced we'd have a visit from some prospective new tenants, the unlucky bastards. No one was in for the visit, so it happened without us. 

But then, we got an email from the landlord. The basic gist of the message was, 'can you please remove the fly strips for future visits, as they are putting off potential tenants'.

We put up even more fly strips. We placed the worst ones in the most prominent places. We lived another week with dead flies everywhere just to piss this guy off.

I have to rant about my frustrations with withdrawing my steem from poloniex. Jesus Christ, not to mention how horrible their customer service is. I have been waiting for 2 days now to find out what happened to my steem. It is not in my poloniex account and neither is it in my steemit, so where the hell is it? Guys my 2700 steem has been unaccounted for for almost 2 weeks. I initially thought it was normal for it to take that long to transfer till i researched how long it takes . i was livid when i couldn;t reach anyone, i still want to know where my steem is. was it hacked? will i recover it? smh... so frustrating

This jackclown is a fucking puppet for ISPs, and was appointed chairman of the FCC by our narcissistic clown of a president.  Are you kidding me?  He ignores and mocks the overwhelming support for Net Neutrality and just spouts the same unfounded shit about Net Neutrality being bad for network infrastructure investment, and that consumer complaints against ISPs throttling traffic will cause them to "do the right thing".  Complete bullshit.  And then there's this Michael Powell shithead telling supporters of Net Neutrality to "calm down". You’ve been driving and driving and then driving some more. The kids are in the back crying and you’re getting the stinkeye from your significant other. This is something every man has faced and certainly will face again.

At some point you think to yourself: Maybe they are right, maybe I should just stop and ask for help. Then suddenly, up ahead you see something familiar so you press on. It isn’t what you thought but certainly you aren’t lost. You’re just taking the scenic route.

You know you’re wrong and everyone is telling you just to pull over and stop (I’m talking to you Michael Bennett) but you can’t stop and you defend it and just dig a deeper hole.

Well, after last week, I feel like a man shook to his very core.  Questioning the very thing I grew up loving. My Seattle Seahawks. I haven’t had an 0 for whatever week betting in I don’t know how long. And it hurts, damn it. It hurts.

But that isn’t what I’m rranting about. No not about being a homer and losing some cash on my hometown team. I can live with that. I’m not ranting about how they lost to a team they should have beat. Whatever, I can live with that. But I can’t stand how they lose.

So if you saw last weeks ending to the game (thank god it wasn’t nationally televised) you saw how horrifically the Seahawks lost. What poor sports they are, what utter lack of respect they have for an opponent and honestly, just a lack of respect to their fanbase.

I cannot live with how these fucking babies lose. I mean seriously come on. How many fucking times are they going to be a goddamned national embarrassment. I’m seriously embarrassed to be a fan of this team. They constantly are just bad losers. Sore fucking losers. Lose with some goddamned dignity for christ sake. YOU LOST, OK?! You aren’t going to be able to swipe the ball away from the victory formation. It ain’t gonna happen. 

You know what Pete Carroll? Next time, just sit Bennett when they are in victory formation. Purposely trying to injure someone is just not cool man. He says he was going after the ball (fine I saw it) – but it’s still fucking stupid and doesn’t work. And he certianly didn’t have to lunge into a lineman’s legs like an absolute asshole. 

Come on Bennett, you’re a huge proponent of unity, man. Calling for people to come together. I can dig your message but I wonder what your message is when you are diving at fellow players legs which could create a career ending injury for them because you are losing a damn game. 

Tell you what brother, how about having a turnover in the first 59 minutes of the game? How about that?
I am not a bandwagon fan and that is what is frustrating because for the last few years these have been some of the best teams Seattle Sports have ever seen but there is always this absolute lack of dignity and respect from this team. They are always calling out the media for respect yet can’t give it to an opponent when they get beat. It is absolutely pathetic.

I get it – I’m upset when I lose. I hate losing. I remember as a child looking like a damn idiot playing wiffle ball in the backyard, hucking shit around if I struck out or popped out and shouting stupid stuff like, “Shit, I suck!” But you know what? I was 9! Or 10? Not a god damn grown man making millions of dollars you sons of bitches. Take your loss and move on.

It was my the day for entrance test results for MBBS and I had told almost all my friends that I haven't done well already.  Then I got call from this friend of mine whom I met in the entrance preparation class a few months ago . He got his name on merit list. This pissed me off.  Then I looked for my results with some hope, but damn there wasn't my name on the merit. Then this friend of mine called me for 4 other times until I told him my name was not on the list.
This friend didn't stop there, he even came to my home to meet my parents with a packet of sweets and make me feel low in front of my parents. Ohh man why do you have to do that? I hate you more than anything in the world.

One of the reasons I migrated to Apple was that shit just worked. I was tired of tinkering with things, blue screens of death, and malware. I grew up and just wanted my devices to do basic tasks flawlessly. Apple use to accomplish that. Nowadays iTunes and iPhoto are complete pieces of shit. 

Have you tried to search for electronic music by genre, year, etc.? It's not easy, if even possible, making it a pain in ass to buy music on iTunes unless I know the artist's name and the name of the song or record. Electronic music is lumped together while there are many legit, large sub genres.

Then there's Photo on your mac. They recently screwed up the bluetooth transfer and now it's hit and miss if you send more than 3 photos. You get a "preparing" screen that loads.... and sometimes just fucks off like a drunken asshole. Then you have to try again, and again and sometimes it's not available, please try again later. FUCK YOU! It's right there on my phone you fucks! But actually it isn't because it's there on their "iCloud" that you pay for, but don't have immediate access to. I now I can turn it off and I probably have to know, but I pay for the service!

So now my post that should have taken about an hour has stretched into a full day. 

Fuck you Apple, your shit is starting to function like M$FT. Jobs would have fired all you morons and done it right.
