On my end, I’m sick as a dog while writing these lines, but I simply could not go on with my day without having had my writing dose. 😍


The negative feelings we cultivate within ourselves toward others, poison our heart just as much as theirs. 
Yesterday, as I was reading a book on serenity, I stumbled upon the best quote ever… like gosh am I obsessed… 
Here it is: ''Jealousy contains more of self-love than of love. '' -François de La Rochefoucauld 
Still not over it.
It made me see how attached we can be to our emotions sometimes, to a point where it only doubles the suffering. 
But an emotion like jealousy or envy takes its roots deep into our subconscious mind.
Some may fail to realize, but when we feel jealous, it speaks volume on how much we need to heal our heart. On how we need to love ourselves.
When you love yourself, not only will you not purposely hurt others, but you will not allow yourself to live through toxic emotions.

It is mysterious how more often than we’d admit it, we sabotage ourselves.
When we suffer, instead of accepting the source of the pain, we find all sorts of ways to repulse it, which only backfires us.
Sometimes, we jump right unto things we know will make us suffer, but we risk doing it anyway, only to hurt ourselves in the end.
We’d be willing to give anything to feel as much happiness as possible, yet without knowing, we destroy ourselves instead of being happy.
We think that letting our ego win is the solution.
We don’t want to admit our wrongs because we don’t want to lose face. 

I remember, during the time I was going to a group therapy, there was a lady who told us she had gotten a police ticket because the doors of her car remained unlocked or something. The cost of it was 65$. She was furious and during the whole session, she could not stop expressing her anger and stating how stupid this whole thing was. 
When the person who hosts the meeting told her that you know, sometimes in life, things don’t go as planned, but our best solution is always found in accepting things as they are, even when they suck, cuz that’s just how life goes, she responded to him that she did not care and would fight till the bitter end to get her money back. She added that she did not want to come off as ''too soft'' and let the police win.
Little did she know, by thinking in such a way, she was the one losing.

Our ego is not there to make us happy.
Our ego is there to be right.
He could not care less about feeling the pain and accepting it in a healthy way.
He lies to us, but we ought not to get trapped by him.
Our ego is there to mask the pain.
And once you realize that, you can make sure that he doesn’t take control of your life again.
If he tries to lure you into his lies again, you can choose to stand up and tell him no.
