Before we start we would like to point out that there are many specialized programs on the Internet to restore deleted files, including paid and free, and I have chosen here to review five free programs:

"Recuva":
This program is compatible with Windows 10 and earlier.

Recuva is one of the best free programs to recover deleted files. It is very easy to use with a variety of features including the ability to retrieve files from hard drives, external drives and memory cards.

The program allows the user to determine the quality of the files that he wants to recover such as images, video, compressed files and others, and allows data recovery by selecting a specific location within the hard drive or performing a full disk scan.

Puran File Recovery (Puran File Recovery):
This program is compatible with Windows 10, 8, 7 and earlier.

Purse File Recovery is a powerful free file recovery option with additional advanced options when working on file recovery, as well as the ability to access additional deleted files compared to other programs.

"Disk Drill":
The program is compatible with Windows 10, 8 and 7, as well as Mac OSX.

Disk Drills have huge capabilities and ability to recover files efficiently, with its flexible design and interface. However, the free version of the program does not support the possibility of retrieving the entire files, which are limited to only 100 MB, and to recover all files must go to the paid version.

You can take advantage of the free version capabilities if you want to retrieve important files necessary but not more than 100 MB.

"Pandora Recovery":
The program is compatible with Windows 10, 8, 7 and earlier.

Pandora Recovery is an excellent option to recover deleted files. It can recover files from any PC-capable storage, as well as easy to use and deeper recovery options to search for more files.

DMDE:
Compatible with Windows and Linux.

The free version of MDE is a fast and powerful way to restore deleted files. It offers extensive file recovery options including the ability to handle 2 TB or more.

Of course, the paid version of the program offers more advanced options, but what distinguishes the free version is that it is not limited to a certain amount of data.
