This post will show you how to purchase STEEM directly from Blocktrades.us without leaving steemit.com; no tab switching, no accounts or email verifications just click the 'Deposit STEEM' options and send in BTC for hassle free conversion; see the step by step below for more details


### Step by Step - how to buy STEEM from within STEEMIT.COM

1.Login to Steemit.com as you normally would

2.Click the 'hamburger' menu next to your account icon in the top right hand corner

3.Select 'Deposit STEEM' or 'Deposit STEEM POWER'

*Note: STEEM is transferable but does not count to your voting power, where STEEM POWER is not transferable and does count to your voting power. we will buy STEEM and the power it up as an optional step later in this guide, but the process is very much the same for both options*

4.Send desired amount of BTC to the address on screen; Make sure you do not exceed the 'Suggested Limit'

*Note: you can also enter the desired amount of BTC in the text box labelled "Amount to send BTC"; this will update the QR code with the desired amount to save you typing it in your wallet; this is optional and is not required; just make sure you do not exceed the suggested limit*


5.Send BTC from your wallet and wait until the transaction is received as pictured below (where my transaction history shows processing..)

6.After a few seconds processing will be completed and you will see your new STEEM in you wallet thanks to Blocktrades.us

7.Optional; if you would like to 'Power Up' you STEEM to get more voting power in the network click the down arrow next to your STEEM balance and then select 'Power UP'

8.Enter the amount you would like to 'Power Up' or select the link below (Balance: 74.95 STEEM) to select you whole balance.

9.Click the 'Power up' button and your history will display that you have vested the balance entered.
