Lets see how easy it is through Cli_wallet.!!

**Only one simple command**

    vote your-account "account-to-vote-for" "url-of-the-post" 100 true

Lets see an example:



- your-account ---> steemychicken1
- account-to-vote-for ----> steemychicken1
- url-of-the-post ---> its faster to copy it directly from the browser
- 100 ----> percentage of voting power... Eg 10=10% of the voting power.
- true ---> validate the command

so in my example if i want to vote my own post.. i use my name in both options.

    vote steemychicken1 "steemychicken1" "this-weeks-trend-use-the-word-anarchist" 50 true

Voted myself with 50% of my voting power.

I'm still confused is that why for example I see someone get a few votes and made  say 5$ and I get 11 and make 0.00 .

**Edited** - I was incorrect with my original comment, so I edited it out. The above is correct,  the CLI wallet corrects for actual percentages, unlike the API ;)

One relevant part of my comment remains: Last week I started toying with adding the GUI functionality for voting. You can [follow the issue on github here](https://github.com/steemit/steemit.com/issues/91). Feel free to voice your thoughts.

It's a way to only give a portion of your vote to certain post, thereby saving your voting power. Some post, perhaps, don't deserve 100% of your voting power. This is especially useful for whales who don't feel a post deserves a few hundred dollars from their upvote, but deserves at least a small portion of their upvote (which is still a great upvote, because they're whales).

So basically it allows you to vote on more post without depleting your voting power as fast and at the same time rate limit the rewards you give out based upon the quality of the post as you you see fit.
