Kids are amazing.They are funny I would say.From the very first day of landing to this planet and their different stages of growth, I will say that they are funny and i believe that you will agree with me.

You will all agree with me that they go through different period of phases in their developmental stages from infants to young adults.

As the kids go through various developmental stages,one important factor that make them to be conscious of their environment is the multiple change that their brain undergo too.Though the transformation that they  experience can be measured genetically as well.

Not only genetically can changes in kids be measured, children also benefit from environmental circumstances and interaction with close individuals within their environment.

Primary developmental territory of children include language, cognitive, corporeal and of course social-emotional,and in each of these territory, growth and development occur.It will be of a great benefits for every parents to understand what happened in the brain of their children as they evolve through each of the stages.

Several research over the years had reported that immediate environment of children in their early stage of life play important role in children lifetimes behavior.

Advance in technology has contributed immensely to research conducted on child's brain development by neurologist.They have discovered patterns in children brain activities that is closely attached with some types of experience that they had while growing up.

Let's take time to get down and understand how children brain develop.
From the time of conceiving a child to age of three,there is a splendid amount of change in their brain.At delivery,a child already has all the nerves cell needed.In the first year,it size doubles, and by the time the child is three,all neurons has reached 80% of that of an adult.


Synapses which is a junction between two nerves cell are formed at a quick rate during this period than any other time.It might amaze you that at age two or even three, the brain formed more of the synapses than it will need, however,these excessive ones are done away with from childhood to puberty.This period of pruning and at this same time blooming is a very  crucial and critical period in their life.

I think that this question should be ask, why will brain form synapses more than what it requires and yet delete it later on?The answer is just as  simple as ABC;the connection between genetic and environmental factors in brain developmental is where the answer lies as I have earlier discussed.

Genetic factors are responsible for early developmental stages,take for instance,genes coordinate newly created neurons to their appropriate place in the brain and perform a function in how the neurons affect each other in their function.Though genes arrange the fundamental connection of the brain,but they are not completely responsible for the brain design.The genes instead make way for the brain to be fine-tune in accordance to what it receives from the environment.

Neural activities in a child is stimulated when the child senses report to the brain about the environment and the kind of prevailing experiences.For instance, language regions in the brain is stimulated by speech sound.Increase in speech sound activate synapses between the neurons in such region.

Synapses becomes strengthen with continuous activities.Less active synapses are weak and may be eliminated during pruning.Connectivity and the effectiveness of the system that reinforce the learning, memory and a lots of other cognitive potential all depends on the strength of synapses.So we can say that the experience of a child determine not just the information available for the brain,but also play important role on how the child brain processes such information.


Surplus synapses made by a child brain in the first three years of the child existence make the brain to respond to external information.During this first three years,the brain can take experiences effectively more than later during the pruning process.

The ability of the brain to configure itself structurally allow human to adjust himself more readily and quickly that if it's only genes determine such.

Next i will discuss,is the profile on how brain develop in children from conception to three years of age.
Brain formation starts few weeks after a woman has conceived.Embryonic stage marks the appearance of most structural details of the brain, all these structures continuously grow and as well develop while the fetal period lasted.

During brain development,one of the important part that is first formed is the neural tube.It's this neural tube that metamorphosised to brain and spinal cord.All this lasted for four weeks after conception.

First movement of the foetus after seven weeks of fertilization,although hardly noticed by the mother is as result of first neurons and synapses development in the neural tube turned spinal cord.Its the early neural connection that prompts the initial movement of the foetus.Its ultrasound or MRI that can detect this movement.This initial movement then 
supply the brain with sensory information prompt the brain development.Further harmonized movement developed in several weeks that follows.
