It looks like the next couple of years will include some cool new electric cars. I'm hoping there will be some affordable models.

One that's getting lots of attention is the [Farady Future FF91](https://www.ff.com/en/). This Chinese company has not produced a car before that I know of and they have a few bumps in their progress, but it's supposed to be quicker than a Tesla with similar range. Will probably have a similar price too and it's not initially available in Europe.

I only just learnt about the [Jaguar I-Pace](http://www.jaguar.co.uk/jaguar-range/i-pace-concept-car/index.html). This is also a premium car, but Jaguar already have experience in that market. I don't think it looks as good as their other models. That square back end looks odd, but maybe that's expected to be the style next year when it comes out.

I'd like my next car to be electric, but it's likely to be something more modest. I'm happy with normal car performance and a range of 150 miles would handle 99% of my journeys with ease. There are more places to charge popping up, so that should be less of a barrier. We have to move on from burning oil. It's encouraging to see more options for the future.
