Byteball is working again if you want to benefit from the airdrop
This cryptocurrency made a generous offer to Steemit users last week. You can get a nice reward for creating a wallet and linking your Steemit account to it. They want crypto-savvy users. The higher your Steemit reputation, the more you get, but you can make more via the referral scheme.

A reputation of at least 30 will get you $10. There's a sliding scale up to $160 if you have reached reputation 70.

To start you need a [wallet](https://steem-byteball.org/#2FZQNM5EQZLENVTZ7X62L2YH3AVRZL3Y). You can install that for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iOS. Then you need a small amount of 'Bytes' to fund your application to link to Steemit. I can send you what you need if you send me your wallet address via Discord (search for [steevc#3022](https://discordapp.com/users/264347470367162369)) or [Steem Chat](https://steem.chat/direct/steevc). I use the same name on Twitter if you want to send a DM. I'm not online all day, but I will respond as soon as I can.

Unfortunately their system wasn't working between Friday and today, but I've been able to do a couple of transfers in the last couple of hours.

Byteball Bytes are fairly stable at the moment. They have not changed significantly during the outage. You can only sell off half of what you get (25% from referrals) as the rest is locked up for a year in a smart contract.

OK, I bought some Bytes on Bittrex and used that to link my Steem account to Byteball. I hope it still counts as a referral from you. I had to install a second wallet on another computer because the bot didn't reply on the first one; apparently I added the bot while the Byteball network was down.

My transfers although in my wallet still aren't showing on my phone @steevc, so now I'm going to watch the distribution fund and keep working to get my reputation up to 60 before trying again on Windows.

I understand man and appreciate it. There had been so many posts on the byteball airdrop that my feed is loaded with them. Yours was only the second post on Byteball that I replied on. 

I am just glad to get a free giveaway and even happier to see another cross blockchain partnership blossom. I like this aspect of the partnership. Steem Blockchain certainly has the potential to bring value to any such partnership and this could be beginning of something new. I am not really as to the direction this thing is going to take but it I think it would be prudent to explore it.

Simply select the circle with 3 dots to the lower left of your wallet
• Select "INSERT MY ADDRESS" 
• SEND data that by clicking the send button
• that should prompt the bot

• click CHAT
• select CONTACTS (rather than BOT STORE)
• there will be a minus sign "—" and " REMOVE A DEVICE", select this option
• DELETE/REMOVE THE BOT
•  Return to BOT STORE and Add "**Steem attestation bot**" again

I'm not so sure about that, in an ideal world it would be true but if I would have continued to use bid bots I would have been > 60 now and would have more Byteballs in my wallet. If I threw $1000 a post at bots I may have even reached 70. 

Given an argument which is more important, SP or Rep I think most Steemians would go for the former. Doing it by Rep tells me that the Byteball chaps are not so well up on current affairs.

This isn't a moan by the way, just the first time I have seen Rep used over SP in terms of being more important.
