Tele Tuesday - Rocking on Holiday

I recorded this Green Day song for our local group's online open mic at the weekend. I was running out of time and needed to get something done quickly. I know the song pretty well and had a backing track from [here](https://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/). I used [guvcview](https://sourceforge.net/projects/guvcview/) on Linux to record it as you just have to hit record. The issue was in how to get it to record the backing track as well as my guitar. The solution was to put the track on my phone and plug that into the mixer that feeds my M-Audio interface.

I did manage to mess up a few bits of the song, but there was no time for another take. I would like to learn more songs that I can play like this so I can perform them at the pub when we can do that again.

I used my [Benford Guitars](http://benfordguitars.com/) custom Telecaster through a Zoom G3X.

It is a fun song to play as it has some variety to it and an easy solo.

Nice job!  This has me in the mood to listen to the International Superhits album now.  I got to see Green Day in concert a while ago.  They were touring with Blink 182 if that tells you how long ago it was.  It was a great show.  I think it was the first time I ever saw a show at the Van Andel in Grand Rapids.  Not the last time.  That bridge has some fast finger work on it doesn't it?

I have not seen them live, but I did see the stage musical including their songs. My daughter is a big fan. She was supposed to see them again with Blink 182 this year, but of course that got cancelled. They do rock.

It's a nice easy song to play. I saw #TeleTuesday on Twitter and have tried to get it going here too. There is also #Straturday, but I don't have a Strat. I am happy just to see more music here.
