She has not been right for a while, but recently she was really struggling to get about and we didn't want her to suffer. The video cut off a bit early as my phone ran out of space, but I'll leave it as is. Stay well. Update: I was able to fix my peakd issue. If you go to the [nodes benchmark page](https://peakd.com/me/tools/benchmark) you can see which is quicker for you and select one to use. That worked. There seems to be a bug on the settings page as it did not let me set a node after using one in the URL, but it showed some details for the different one that I had managed to select. That stinks that you lost a chicken. At least it is not suffering anymore. My buddy has chickens that he uses for eggs and now he has just started to get some more for food. They are ready to be processed in about eight weeks. He gave us a frozen one the other day that was all cut up and everything. We haven't done anything with it yet.

They don't live that long anyway, so she had a good life. I think you have to eat they young or they could be tough. We don't eat meat anyway. They are pets really as we probably don't save anything on eggs. Just nice to have our own.

It's okay. I accept that animals may not live long. They are pets as well as egg producers, although I don't give them names. We had four chickens before this lot and some died quite quickly. It happens. Cheers.

You have to be realistic about animals that don't live that long. Not losing one for 4 years is good going. She was waddling around for at least a year, but seemed to get by even if she was not laying. Do you remember The Good Life? There was one I remember about them having a chicken that wouldn't lay.
