I didn't understand it all at first either. I made a lot of mistakes because of that.  I still don't understand all of it, but Cub and the Leo Finance community makes it pretty easy to get started.  There is always someone willing to help in the Discord.  Those rates will definitely go down.  2 trillion percent is the hype for sure.  Normalizing somewhere around 100% is not unrealistic though.

It pays it out of inflation and quickly decreases as more people get involved.  Thus it can start at that level but then progresses lower as more money is involved.

For example, 5 tokens issued per block when 1 is in the value means someone is getting an insane return.

Of course, spread that same token creation per block over 100 tokens in the value, not as strong.

Do it over 1,000 tokens, even less. 

And so on.
