Today I have been recording
It's nothing too fancy, but a friend asked me to do some solos for a cover song he's doing. He sent me his recording where he's looped his acoustic guitar and added vocals. I took that and attempted a few versions of the two solos in the song. This may make it to Soundcloud and then we will perform it at our next open mic at the pub.

Guitar was my Benford Tele.

I was playing through my Belcat 20W valve/tube amplifier and recording with my Zoom H4 plugged into the PC. I could have put it closer if I'd changed the mic gain, but it sounded okay.

Pick was a 3mm Gravity. I'm liking this pick. Gives me good control and tone.

I'm no expert on recording and just have some basic gear. I used Audacity to record as it's generally quick and easy, but I did have issues getting it to append to a recording. Not sure what was going on, but it eventually worked. I'll post the track if and when it's done.

Please forgive me for the tag fail, just increased font size and stopped squinting ; ) Thanks for pointing that out.
Squirming is good, from the self learning perspective, as it encourages trying to eliminate it. In other words, find the particular nuances in your flow that you enjoy, and also locate the places or twists that may be hindering you. This can become a strong feedback loop for positive change. 
The reason I suggested taking a break or listen the next day is, it gives you a more objective and truer picture, a refreshed feedback loop rather than a somewhat jaded one just after you record. An example would be after say 8 or 10 takes and listening back each time your senses are compromised to a degree. Make sense?
However do experiment with ideas then take a break. Evaluate later
