I felt like playing something a bit heavier and opted for my old [Gordon Smith](https://www.gordonsmithguitars.com/) GS2 to play a Neil Young tune. I have had this guitar for over 30 years now. I see the prices have gone up a bit in that time. It actually still looks pretty new, although one machine head is falling apart and needs replacing. It is running through my Zoom G3X with a Boss DS-1 supplying some distortion. I used my Boss RC-1 to loop the chords for the solo and an Ibanez Tube Screamer for added boost. The pedal I had not used for a while is the Electro-Harmonix [Crying Tone wah](https://www.ehx.com/products/crying-tone). This is unusual in having no moving parts. The whole pedal rocks on the shaped base and senses the angle. There's a fun video on their site of someone operating the pedal by driving their car over it. I messed up going from the loop back into the verse and then the wah got left on. I am just not used to working multiple pedals like this and without a band behind me any issues are glaringly obvious. Never mind, it is just for fun. Nice job! I really admire your talent. I need to find the time to try and learn to play again. It is funny how life just seems to get in the way. I also am a bit ADHD so if something doesn't come easy for me it usually gets put on the back burner.

I gave up peddles a while ago ($$$) and have been playing with Bias-FX ever since. Have you tried that or Amplitube? My live gigging days are behind me and they're too loud to play when everyone is home. I know some guitarist think that they're dirty words. One thing they don't do well is wahs. You're sounds good and tuff too by the looks of it!!!

I've not tried those apps, but then I don't have anything that would run them. I have looked at some effects apps on Linux a while back. Need to try recent versions. I have not spent too much on pedals. My Zoom has loads of sounds in it, but I picked up others along the way. Some were second hand. I see a lot of top players use things like the Axe FX these days. Digital effects have come a long way, but there's still a big market for old style analogue stomp boxes. I get inspired by different sounds, so I'll keep playing around with them.

Do you have windows or an IOS device, or are you hard core Linux? I tried Ubuntu Studio once. It did not recognise my irig usb interface regardless of how many useless tutorials or blogs I read. I'll never get that week back... 😡
