The state of bitcoin is currently in dire need of a strong foundation: a foundation of technology that will guide a growing movement of citizens from startups to the mainstream financial system.

It's not about the money—it's about an understanding among those who are creating this change in how we manage our private keys.

The state of bitcoin is currently in dire need of some regulation, due in part to the large sums being laundered through bitcoin exchanges in China and Russia, where some of the largest bitcoin exchanges are based. At the time of publication this report was already being updated with new and accurate addresses and information for the userbase to be notified of all changes to the address list. While there is clearly some debate among those writing this report about what should be considered illegal, bitcoin is undeniably a highly disruptive currency with many people making a living out of the product by creating and buying money for it in various forms.

While the report will not go far enough in its analysis, we are planning to keep updating the article as more information comes in on this and any other financial issues.
