Steemit growth is among the fastest. In Aceh (one province in Indonesia), daily about 100 new accounts are born, and the number continues to grow. I think the target to be achieved until the end of 2018 amounts to 2.7 million accounts is not difficult to achieve.

Nice info and prediction, but I expect it to be a lot more than 2.7m by the end of the year. The predicted growth doesn't factor in the **speed of growth**. This would be a much more relevant factor to consier. I'm pretty confident that if you factor this in, it'd be more like 5-10 million.

Great target...i believe that number will be made. As a member of the Ghana community, we just had our first meetup last saturday and we plan on adding more people this year (1000). It's a great course we are willing to embark.

Signed up a friend tonight - check out and send some love to @jeffsjungle -  and was reminded how difficult it is to get your head around Steemit when you first begin. It's also made me realise how much I've learned in the last 81 days. The first couple of weeks were a massive learning curve but think it helps weed out those who are simply here in the hope of making money. It took me a while but I've found some amazing people to follow and loving making new connections everyday. Keep on Steeming on folks!

I think your predictions are wrong. The steem network is having troubles with their banking feature.  Every new user that signs up used to have up to 30sp delegated to them before jan 8. We had a run on new user accounts being created in the first 2 weeks in january.... we added +/-50k accounts. January 7 we maxed out the @steem bank; it could no longer support giving all minnows up to 30 sp. The algorithm for delegating rewards dropped all new users delegation to up to 15sp. Effectively cutting new users power in half, so if they dont have 82% vote power their vote is worth nothing. New users that feel they have no voice will leave. I was actually thinking we would hit 1 million last year, but I was wrong.

I thought the rest of the world would come to Steemit like me, but I was wrong.  I think with this rate, we can hit 1 million users

I can't believe we are still so few here on Steemit. Imagine the price of STEEM if we were the size of Facebook!

Am sure the biggest credit goes to promotion of Steemit. Thats why the numbers are growing. And ofcourse the community is wonderful.

The future looks bright for Steemit. The crazy thing is the social media giants won't even realize what's happening to their dwindling user-base utill it's too late.

I love that we get so many new users these days. This will surely get the ball rolling! I really hop you are correct with your end of 2018 projection :)
