This is true, the love and respect which people gain in steemit, it never gives by any other platform in the whole social media, The steemit  now in the #1000 list of best websites,  it becomes one of the most powerful websites in  the world soon and its growth is so much rapidly, millions of millions people join the steemit, and thousands of people join it on daily basis. all the other platform just engage the community for their own profit, but the revolution always comes out, and the social media revolution is the emerged in the shape of blockchain and the steemit.
facebook is nothing like a shit now, I don't remember, how i last time login the facebook, cause if a platform just involves you for just its own benefit, how can you earn whole the profit with your won self without any reward system, this is bullshit actually,

Facebook, oh Facebook. You were......well basically you were shite. Even before I knew about Steemit, I thought it was one of the greatest brainsucks ever. I mean, who gives a flying fuck that someone you met on a bus six years ago posting pictures of their dinner? And who wants to know if auntie dora's historectoy went well, or whether your friends kids are still awake at 1am? It never added any value to my life whatsoever. No, I'm much happier here, thank you very much!

That facebook still has billion users still beats me, the only payout you get from facebook is likes and Smiley. Steemit is the perfect platform for interactions where you get paid for your idea. Facebook just make money from the adverts they place on our timeline

Steemit is still a very great distance from Facebook, just look at the numbers. Facebook is a well established corporation, raking in billions of dollars, I don't believe Steemit will be able to change that in any big way. Of course Steemit could be the start of a revolution, but so far after two years it is still doesn't have even one thousandth of the number of users Facebook has, and actually I think Facebook users are more active. The Steemit idea has yet to catch on, I can only hope it will because I think it is great, but it is not bringing down Facebook any time soon.

Something you wrote here made me think of something. You pointed out that FB's *raison d'etre* is to gather information about its users. It uses that information in order to get money from advertisers.

Now, it predominantly uses it for advertising on its own site, but I wonder if that information can be sold to other sites as well? Probably?

My point is this: in a lot of ways a site like steemit makes it possible for *anyone* to gather information about anyone. Since all actions are recorded in your history, if you wanted to, you can track who likes what and keep your own record of it. If a bot doesn't yet exist to do it, I'm sure it's not too far away.

the time i started steemit i  keep myself away from facebook, i find it creepy now cause it's just a wastage of time. here in steemit you can create some quality content which is valued by people around you and you can literally earn from it but facebook is not the same. i am now looking to deactivate by account from facebook.

I am also one of the garbage user but after coming to steemit i have not logged in into my Facebook account for many weeks cause steemit is worth it and Facebook is not.

 finally they are coming to realize what steemit and steemians are trying to do,not distrupt or disturb s something but to create a place where your blogging and time is rewarded unlike other social medias. It’s just comes to show that big whales of the social industry are noticing us the steemit and are getting @scared of @steemit .this just comes to prove the concrete fact that we are going to be the biggest of the biggest social media plus blockchain whales in the near future which is sooo exciting and mind boggling.

Am just from reading your last very last post and it's clear people are lossing trust in profitless platforms to an average person like facebook. It's interesting how people haven't realized that they have wasted alot of time on facebook with out earning.

Definitely, people still use facebook. Those that are not enlightened enough. Many still see the whole  crypto thing as scam. Those are the ones that still spend all their time with facebook and instagram.
