This is a great idea! I’ve been doing local promotions by making up some cards with quick facts about steemit and handing them out to people on the Las Vegas Strip. I get mixed feedback but I have seen some people sign up. This has been a basic bare bones type of promotion. Something like you’re describing will be great and much needed to bring more legitimacy to our local promotions. I also ran a local meet up for years but that was before I discovered steemit. This gives me encouragement to get back in to it. Thanks for the post and your support of the community!

Thanks for sharing this @stephenkendal, I really think that this has the potential to become huge! I'm excited to see how the project goes, and as I have mentioned previously you have my full support on any project that works on promoting the Steemit platform/STEEM in general. 

I would love to work on this project as an ambassador for sure; I am living in Dublin and have been asked to give a few talks in some schools and at other conferences, and I would love to help out with this campaign in any way possible. 

As you know, I am working on my own initiative to promote Steemit, I think that the more people that work to help grow the platform, the better. Thanks again for sharing!

I have been waiting for this message since the day started. #Steemfair is the thing. With the vinyl Promotional Banner finally arriving, everything is in place to launch #Steemfair which we are getting adapted to pretty fast here in Africa.
 The education of new users to #Cryptocurrency, #Steemit and the #Steem Blockchain, at the same time as offering existing users on #Steemit a venue and event to showcase their accounts to the public is an ALL in ONE package. 
This mixture of objectives will cover everything; Helpful to the new users and those that have been around for a while. I myself got into cryptocurrency trading because of steemit. I had no idea about cryptocurrency. Thanks to #Steemit, am now teaching others about cryptocurrency. A market which is still virgin in Uganda and which people can fully maximise to get out of poverty.
