Thats how long your article stays in view on either the "New" category or by the keyword. I have never seen one of my articles in the "Trending" or the"Hot" but in the new I exist for about 30 seconds. Then I fall off the radar. After about a minute you have to scroll quite a bit to find me. That is the reality I see. Any upvotes I get happen in the first 30 seconds, rarely ever any later. Mostly bots.

Have you tried using steem.chat to make connections with other like minds? If you care to join, I can introduce you to others who might be interested in your music as they dabble in music themselves. I would probably be still sitting at under 40 REP if I had not found chat and made the friends I have made. As a social media you have to remember building friendships is from scratch, most votes will not come from just posting cool shit.
