Amazing to see these old racers flying together at Duxford.

From the Top:

**LeVier Cosmic Wind**  Lockheed Corporation in 1947.It did not race successfully in the US but one won the premier cross-country competition in the UK in 1964

**The Mew Gull** held the world record for the fastest return journey in its class from England to Cape Town for over 70 years

**Type R Mystery Ship**  aircraft. This plane is a low wing, wire braced, racing aircraft built in the late 1920's to early 1930's.

**de Havilland DH88 Comet** which won the 1934 England to Australia Air Race in 70 hours and 34 minutes.
