Exciting Times - I Started my Sketching journey

<div class="text-justify">One of the books I've read in my life time that actually affected my life in a significantly positive way is the trilogy by Austin Kleon. A friend recommended it to me and I read all three of the book on creativity. It's a book I will always recommend to people. In one of the books, he talked about getting a drawing book, sketchpad or whatever and actually playing around. In his writing I actually mentioned it as a scrap book. After discovering a stationery shop near my house, I visited them today and acquired some materials to aid me in starting my non-digital art journey. I got a sketchpad, coloring pen, pencils and erasers. To start off, I decided to draw something simple, a sunflower.</div>

I would advice that you enjoy your art journey, I started my a year ago and I've improved alot without an art teacher. So I believe you could do more my friend, this flower is really beautiful for a start you should have seen the cups I drew then 😂😂.

Sorry time escaped a little bit the last days 😉🤓 but here are some tips and videos to get you started… 

I saw that between the things you got. You have 2 graphite pencils. 
Start with those… and try some basic shapes and shadows /light sides.

My best tip for you, is forget about the Coloring pens… and start drawing with pencils. Every moment you have some free time. Feel the graphite, what it does over the paper. Don’t press too hard. It is ok to start very light… you should see the grain of the paper through the graphite. 

Get an apple or even a cup or book. Put it in front of you. With a light source from one direction. So you see the shadow on the other side. Try to draw that. 
I think above’s videos will help you a lot. Have fun!
