My FIRST Attempt at street photography

<div class="text-justify">I tried so hard not to put <I>failed</I> instead of <I>first</I>, but I realised I can't always be my worst critic, at least if I should, it has to be inside me head, lol. But this photos does feel like a failed attempt. It was definitely not an easy task. I set out a few days ago to begin the street photography thing. My first task was wearing my camera over my neck. Boy, it was a difficult one, but I did anyways. The street were so packed, I could not get out my camera. Eventually I boarded a bus going to my previous workplace and luckily I had a window seat. I took a few clicks of the street. Not exactly the best.</div>

<div class="text-justify">The design to this bridges is really impressive. There are usually people sitted there, hoping for some miracle in the day. I eventually got an enclosed place and I was able to take a photo of the car park as it looked neat.</div>

Meant to reply to this a while ago but kept getting distracted.

I wouldn't call this failed at all.  There's no 'right' way to do street photography, as long as you're out there shooting what appeals to you for one reason or another it's kind of hard to go wrong.  Even if you don't get any shots that excite you it's still a learning experience in some way.

I've done a bit of street photography myself. I was so self conscious to start off with but it soon wore off.  I try to tell a story or I place myself in a particular spot where I can see there's potential for a good photo.  I once sat across from a large poster advertising adidas training shoes.  I waited for that elusive jogger to run past, but it never happened of course lol.  It could have done though, so I try to be patient, which I'm not good at!

Thanks for sharing the insights in the place you live :) I like the pictures and if you are not happy with your work - just continue to work :) as long as you like the process it is worth to continue. Also if you don't feel comfortable enough to take the camera out- just don't do it and move to another spot :) you'll get this sorted out!

Yeah and also it is good to start your walk with some easy shots like from small things on the street and not people. Street photography does not have to include people even though it pictures with people are usually more interesting. But because photographing strangers is a very wierd thing and you have to get used to it - it is better to get used to the camera and photographing in general on the streets first. 

There is a good video about an alphabet challenge somewhere on the interwebs - let me search for it - wait a second: Hmm I can not find it lol. But it is about taking photos of objects related to a-z. That could be in shape (bike tire for "o"), by their name (Bus for "b") or letters you see on the streets like on signs and advertisments. This will train your brain to see more in shapes and colors - which is pretty important to get better at photography (in my opinion) 

But yeah - just do it and you will get better and more comfy with your art :)
