I've been watching a lot of the videos

This sounds like full auto, possibly of a 223 ;  I can hear echoing of the rounds in some videos, and not  others.  Maybe depending on where the camera mike was in relation to the curve of the Mandalay Bay Casino and the bend in the building

I was in the Marine Corps 30 years ago;  the shots sound .223 to me.

One of the questions I asked on the OSINT main post (https://steemit.com/osint/@stevescoins/osint-exercise-mandalay-bay-casino-shooting)  was where the hell Paddock would get machine guns.
