The Crypto Currency is still a fairly new market to a vast majority of people and is certainly growing every single day since we saw the likes of Bitcoin, Litecoin and Etherium grow to unpredictable values at the end of 2017. 
After people witnessed the huge rise in Bitcoin especially, it triggered individuals to want to join in on the action and try and make money.

As shown above, prices in early 2016 prices were around $300 and now even after a huge bearish run price is around the $6000 range. This is the main reason for the majority of people suggesting to hold your investments over an extended period of time because if the hype and growth around Crypto Currencies we could well see huge growth like this every single year!
