It's been a while since I've talked about a rhythm game that I haven't played already, and there are a lot of them, but not all of them catch my attention so I don't try every rhythm game I come across, even so, there are games that have resisted me for a while and I haven't had the chance to play them for X or Y, thanks to a lucky Christmas gift, the opportunity to try one of those games came along.

Since years ago I have played the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva games for PSP, the first three of which are very good games and I would still play tbh, but I couldn't ignore the fact that finally and officially Project Diva came to PC, something that should have happened long before, but that is still appreciated, so today I come to talk about the last Project Diva released to date, MegaMix+.

As such, it's not a new release, it's a port of the 2019 Switch game, however, it adds some new things that are appreciated, but let's go in parts.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Project Diva in general are rhythm games based on pressing buttons as they appear on screen, all the music is performed by Vocaloids, and it's by far the game with the largest number of songs to date, with a base of about 170 songs, and an additional 72 obtainable with the bonus song pack, for a total of about 250 playable songs in the order you like the most.

MegaMix+ has 5 difficulty levels, but not all songs are in all difficulty levels, which are Easy, Normal, Hard, Extreme and Extra-Extreme, in Easy for example only about 170 songs are available, in Normal a few others, it's not until Hard that we have them all available, if we complete them in Hard, we unlock Extreme, and if available, Extra-Extreme, which is literally hell on earth, certified by me.

This game implements something that wasn't in the PSP ones and it complicates me a lot, now the triggers are used in addition to the buttons that were already used previously, in addition, everything is mapped differently and is more challenging than in the PSP games, this is normal because since then the difficulty of rhythm games has escalated quite a bit, which causes Hard is already a challenge if you're like me.

Something that adds this version of the game, is the ability to switch between two graphical modes, the MegaMix, which was already from Switch, and Future Tone, which is more detailed and to some extent realistic, I'll leave a comparison below, but personally I prefer the MegaMix style to be flatter and keep more similarity to an anime, this option doesn't change anything else, is something that you configure completely based on your taste.

Since its inception Project Diva has had customization options, is what gives it that special touch that other games usually do not have, because while you play a choreography is happening in the background, usually performed by the Vocaloid who is singing the song you're playing, but you can customize this and change the costume or put another completely different Vocaloid, each character has their costumes that you can buy with points which you earn as you play, they aren't difficult to accumulate and the truth is that it's appreciated because you will need many, added to all this there are accessories that you can equip in different parts of the body, I don't usually occupy any of these but there is one in particular that potentially caught my attention haha.

As with many things, this is a game aimed at those already familiar with this type of music, but I also find it an excellent entry point if you've ever been interested in Vocaloid and want a good selection of music to listen to, there's a bit of everything and inevitably several great tracks, so if you like rhythm games, it's a must-have, unmissable and almost completely indispensable in your library.

The only thing to criticize, is its cost, the game along with the pack of additional songs costs the same as a AAA launch game, so if you are going to buy it has to be because you REALLY want to play it, and if you can't afford it you can always look for an older release, because the gameplay is almost the same and you'll find more or less the same songs, only in less quantity, out of that, totally recommended, but at least wait for an offer, thank you very much for reading.

Ha pasado bastante tiempo desde que hablé de un juego de ritmo que no haya jugado ya, y es que hay un montón, pero no todos llaman mi atención así que no pruebo cada juego de ritmo que me encuentro, aun así, hay juegos que se me han resistido por un tiempo y no he tenido la oportunidad de jugarlos por X o por Y, gracias a un afortunado regalo de navidad, la oportunidad de probar uno de esos juegos llegó.

Desde años atrás he jugado a los Hatsune Miku: Project Diva de PSP, los tres primeros que son muy buenos juegos y aún a día de hoy jugaría la verdad, pero no podía ignorar el hecho de que finalmente y de forma oficial Project Diva llegó a PC, algo que debió ocurrir mucho tiempo antes, pero que igual se agradece, es así como hoy vengo a hablarles del último Project Diva lanzado hasta la fecha, MegaMix+.

Como tal, no es un lanzamiento nuevo, es un port del juego de Switch de 2019, pero añade algunas cosas nuevas que se agradecen, pero vamos por partes.

Para quienes no sepan de lo que estoy hablando, Project Diva en general son juegos de ritmo basados en presionar botones conforme vayan apareciendo en pantalla, toda la música está interpretada por Vocaloids, y es con diferencia el juego con mayor número de canciones hasta la fecha, con una base de unas 170 canciones, y 72 adicionales obtenibles con el paquete de canciones adicionales, para un total de unas 250 canciones jugables en el orden que más gustes.

MegaMix+ tiene 5 niveles de dificultad, pero no todas las canciones están en todos los niveles de dificultad, los cuales son Easy, Normal, Hard, Extreme y Extra-Extreme, en Easy por ejemplo solo están disponibles unas 170 canciones, en Normal otras cuantas, no es hasta Hard que ya tenemos todas disponibles, si las completamos en Hard, desbloqueamos Extreme, y si está disponible, Extra-Extreme, que es literalmente el infierno en la tierra, certificado por mí.

Este juego implementa algo que no estaba en los de PSP y me complica bastante, ahora se utilizan los gatillos además de los botones que ya se usaban anteriormente, además, todo está mapeado de forma diferente y resulta más desafiante que en las entregas para PSP, esto es normal pues desde aquel entonces la dificultad de los juegos de ritmo ha escalado bastante, lo cual causa que Hard ya sea un reto si eres como yo.

Algo que agrega esta versión del juego, es la posibilidad de cambiar entre dos modos gráficos, el MegaMix, que ya estaba desde Switch, y el de Future Tone, que es más detallado y hasta cierto punto realista, les dejaré una comparativa, pero personalmente prefiero el estilo MegaMix al ser más plano y guardar más similitud con un anime, esta opción no cambia nada más, es algo que configuras completamente en base a tu gusto.

Desde sus inicios Project Diva ha tenido opciones de personalización, es lo que le da ese toque especial que otros juegos no suelen tener, pues mientras juegas está ocurriendo una coreografía de fondo, generalmente, ejecutada por el Vocaloid que está cantando la canción que estás jugando, pero puedes personalizar esto y cambiarle el traje o poner a otro Vocaloid completamente distinto, cada personaje tiene sus trajes que puedes comprar con puntos los cuales vas ganando conforme juegues, no son difíciles de acumular y la verdad es que se agradece pues necesitarás muchos, añadido a todo esto hay accesorios que puedes equipar en diferentes partes del cuerpo, yo no suelo ocupar ninguno de estos pero hay uno en particular que me llamó potencialmente la atención haha.

Como ocurre con muchas cosas, este es un juego enfocado a aquellos ya familiarizados con este tipo de música, pero también me parece un excelente punto de entrada si alguna vez te ha interesado Vocaloid y quieres una buena selección de música la cual escuchar, hay un poco de todo e inevitablemente varios temazos, así que si te gustan los juegos de ritmo, es un juego imperdible, insaltable y casi completamente indispensable en tu biblioteca.

Lo único criticable, es su costo, el juego junto al paquete de canciones adicional te cuesta lo mismo que un juego AAA de lanzamiento, por lo que si vas a comprarlo tiene que ser porque REALMENTE quieres jugarlo, y si no te lo puedes permitir siempre puedes buscar alguna entrega más antigua, pues la base jugable es la misma y encontrarás más o menos las mismas canciones, solo que en menor cantidad, fuera de eso, totalmente recomendable, pero mínimo esperen una oferta, muchas gracias por leer.
