Already 6 happy years, I am a mother. The daughter changes every year, learns the world, becomes more independent. https://images.golos.io/DQmXZ4jmSfKmEtqemv7gCKerFCBSpQPfyUyiR9xxPKinmtT/20170817KvR0m971XfH9rtkP_wT8uP_large.jpeg This summer was not in vain for her, her achievement was that she learned to swim. And it all started as usual. We went to the sea, took with them an inflatable circle in the form of a giraffe, armlets with painted fish and all this was safely used. But ... on the third day we had a hole in the circle, and a few days later the armlets were torn. It was a sign from on high. So, it's time to teach her to swim without all these adaptations. First of all, it was decided to teach to dive. For some reason, all the time after diving, her mouth filled with water. For this took our dad, they dived together for several days and learned to hold their breath under the water. Then they tried to explain to her daughter how to move her arms and legs, that would swim. But the movements were asymmetrical, and then she forgot to work with her feet, but the style "dog-like" was mastered in a few days, we sailed a couple of meters. For me, as a person in the childhood engaged in swimming, this option was not suitable. We began to learn how to swim the breaststroke. The fifth point constantly went to the bottom. After several unsuccessful attempts, we decided to change the strategy. Train the movement only under the water, then the daughter emerged, inhaled the air and again continued to swim under the water. She quickly got tired, but the distance to 3 meters could already overcome. Then there was a situation that gave on the one hand frightened me on the other hand gave more confidence .. We swam in the shallows, we had a waist around, but among this shallow hole was a pit, a daughter into it got, we immediately did not understand what happened. She stood as if motionless head could be seen, I was ten meters away, in the eyes I see that they became frightened, then I watch how it starts to go under the water only the nozzle is visible, I quickly realized what I was caught by. Having ceased to feel the bottom, she was simply confused and stopped moving. My daughter and I discussed this point so that she would not panic in such situations. And after that provoked them themselves, that is, I took it, dragged it to the depths and let go to the shore, each time increasing the distance. She swimming not only under the water, although she lacks a bit of equipment, but in general I am satisfied with her. By the end of our rest, the distance she floated was about 20 meters, although I think, with a strong desire, she could have more, but for now we are gaining mastery. And how nice it was to hear words of admiration from others when they noticed it - my pride, my daughter! https://images.golos.io/DQmdseNi16Ytf59FzGeyLcdjQNZDPWhXS7WvDh2iT5zcUjN/WM3DHTy4QDw.jpg On parting on the last day we went into the water, I tell my daughter to say goodbye until next year, she kissed the wave approaching her face and said: "I love you the sea!" https://images.golos.io/DQmXDyYVsc3fhsxqp9JRk5rDovrChh15L6xz1pEdAwD4idX/z0PuqKOTKyg.jpg

Congrats with your first steps in this field! Recently I tried to teach swimming my almost 5years old son, but it was not interesting for him. I even have thought that he was scared by such big amount of water. Maybe it's just too early and he must grow for doing this step...
