Hola, espero estén teniendo un lindo día. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un poco de lo que fue mi experiencia, haciendo un curso de maquillaje artístico por primera vez. Este fue efectuado el martes 27 de septiembre en la ciudad de Maturín, organizado por [Cosmo Chic](https://instagram.com/oficialcosmochics?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) y dictado por [Gaby Blanco Makeup](https://instagram.com/gabyblancomakeup?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=), con quienes realicé mi primer curso de maquillaje. Aquel fue de maquillaje básico profesional y en su momento hice un [post](https://peakd.com/hive-148441/@stytchh/a-big-step-in-the-makeup-world-spaeng) de dicho curso, quedé fascinada porque fue espectacular en todos los sentidos.

En primera instancia y como algunos sabrán, esto es algo que quería hacer desde hace mucho tiempo. En varias oportunidades he expresado mi interés por este arte, desde comprar los productos hasta aprender las técnicas necesarias, para ejecutarlo de la mejor forma posible.

Este curso en particular me pareció una muy buena oportunidad para hacer ambas cosas, ya que como mencioné en mi [post pasado](https://peakd.com/hive-178265/@stytchh/makeup-artistic-or-pre-course-assignments-spaeng). El cupo incluía una paleta de bodypaint Athena y un par de lentes de contacto fantasía, además de muchas más cosas que iré mencionando.
>This particular course seemed to me a very good opportunity to do both, since as I mentioned in my [last post](https://peakd.com/hive-178265/@stytchh/makeup-artistic-or-pre-course-assignments-spaeng). Included an Athena bodypaint palette and a pair of fantasy contact lenses, plus many more things that I will be mentioning.
El día empezó algo agitado y no llegué a la hora que me habría gustado. Antes de cruzar la puerta, justo eso pasaba por mi cabeza pero al entrar me di cuenta, de que las demás chicas no habían llegado y fue tan así, que pude escoger entre las 6 mesas de trabajo que habían preparado.
>The day started off a bit hectic and I didn't arrive at the time I would have liked. Before crossing the door, just that was going through my head but when I entered I realized that the other girls had not arrived and so I was able to choose among the 6 work tables that had been prepared.</div>

Allí me encontré con una gran sorpresa, el par de lentes de contacto que estaban en la mesa que escogí, eran justo unos que quería comprar desde hace unos meses. Además de ser muy lindos, sentí que me servirían un montón para mi personaje original, Nana. Dejando esta agradable sorpresa de lado, en la mesa también habían otras cosas muy chéveres. Tres, no se si llamarlos revistas o catálogos de Kryolan, el caso es que en ellos había mucha información útil. Uno de colorimetría, otro de los tonos y subtonos de la piel y el último era de Dermacolor.
>There I found a big surprise, the pair of contact lenses that were on the table I chose, were just the ones I wanted to buy since a few months ago. Besides being very cute, I felt that they would be very useful for my original character, Nana. Leaving this pleasant surprise aside, there were also some other very cool things on the table. Three, I don't know whether to call them magazines or Kryolan catalogs, but there was a lot of useful information in them. One on colorimetry, one on skin tones and undertones and the last one was from Dermacolor.

La metodología de este curso fue la siguiente, el bloque de la mañana estaba destinado para toda la parte demostrativa y explicativa del curso, podíamos tomar nota, hacer preguntas, grabar, tomar fotos. El maquillaje artístico era un tigre mariposa, basado en un look de [mielsanchezmakeup](https://instagram.com/mielsanchezmakeup?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=). Mientras [Gaby](https://instagram.com/gabyblancomakeup?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) hacía la demostración, la gente de [Cosmo Chic](https://instagram.com/oficialcosmochics?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) estaban pendientes de ofrecernos bebidas (agua, té, refresco, jugo) y refrigerios.
>The methodology of this course was as follows, the morning block was intended for all the demonstrative and explanatory part of the course, we could take notes, ask questions, record, take pictures. The makeup artistry was a butterfly tiger, based on a look by [mielsanchezmakeup](https://instagram.com/mielsanchezmakeup?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=). While [Gaby](https://instagram.com/gabyblancomakeup?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) was demonstrating, the folks at [Cosmo Chic](https://instagram.com/oficialcosmochics?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) were on hand to offer us drinks (water, tea, soda, juice) and snacks.

Yo hice un montón de anotaciones y también grabé algunos fragmentos, realmente aprendí muchísimas cosas. Después de un buen rato, llegó la hora del almuerzo de la mano de [Tobías Burguer](https://instagram.com/tobias_burguer?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=), dos mini hamburguesas que estaban muy buenas. Una vez terminé de comer, aproveché el descanso para ver los productos que tenía disponibles [Cosmo Chic](https://instagram.com/oficialcosmochics?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=).
>I made a lot of notes and also recorded some fragments, I really learned a lot of things. After a good while, it was time for lunch from [Tobías Burguer](https://instagram.com/tobias_burguer?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=), two mini burgers that were very good. Once I finished eating, I took advantage of the break to see the products that [Cosmo Chic](https://instagram.com/oficialcosmochics?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) had available.
Tenían una mesa en la que habían productos orientados al maquillaje artístico (por supuesto) y luego de consultar algunos precios, hice una pequeña compra. Adquirí un producto que no veía la hora de comprar, el famoso Shadow Seal de Kleancolor y un bálsamo de uva/jojoba de la marca Salomé.
>They had a table with products geared towards makeup artistry (of course) and after checking some prices, I made a small purchase. I purchased a product I couldn't wait to buy, the famous Shadow Seal from Kleancolor and a grape/jojoba balm from the Salome brand.

Después empezó el bloque de la tarde, que estaba previsto para que las demás chicas y yo, realizaramos la práctica. Al principio todo bien, empecé con el bloquedo de cejas y hasta ahí todo chévere. La locura empezó a causa de los lentes de contacto, todas éramos primerizas y se nos complicó un poco, a unas más que a otras. Esta parte para mí fue súper difícil y perdí muchísimo tiempo... Lo peor del caso es que al final, no usé los lentes de contacto ese día. Me lograron colocar uno en el ojo derecho, pero había una parte que me causaba molestia y acabé optando por no usarlos.
>Then began the afternoon block, which was scheduled for me and the other girls to practice. At first everything was fine, I started with the eyebrow block and so far so good. The craziness started because of the contact lenses, we were all first timers and it got a little complicated, some more than others. This part was very difficult for me and I wasted a lot of time... The worst part of the case is that in the end, I didn't wear my contact lenses that day. They managed to put one in my right eye, but there was a part that caused me discomfort and I ended up choosing not to use them.
Seguí con el proceso del maquillaje, terminé de tapar mis cejas y empecé a seguir el resto de los pasos. La cosa fue que por problemas de envío, las paletas de bodypaint no llegaron a tiempo para el curso y en lugar de tener una cada una, nos dieron cierta cantidad de los colores que usaríamos y en caso de necesitar más, lo debíamos pedir. Tal vez al principio no se notó tanto pero a la larga, estás pequeñas cosas fueron acortando el tiempo. Yo estaba tratando de tomarme las cosas con calma pero después de un rato, me empecé a estresar porque sabía que no me iba a dar tiempo, de hacer todo lo que se suponía que debía hacer.
>I continued with the makeup process, I finished covering my eyebrows and started to follow the rest of the steps. The thing was that due to shipping problems, the bodypaint palettes did not arrive in time for the course and instead of having one each, we were given a certain amount of the colors we would use and in case we needed more, we had to ask for it. Maybe at the beginning it was not so noticeable but in the long run, these little things were shortening the time. I was trying to take it easy but after a while, I started to get stressed because I knew I wasn't going to have time to do everything I was supposed to do.

Para mí fue frustrante en muchos sentidos, pero hice lo que pude para sobrellevarlo. A mí me cuesta trabajar bajo estrés, me pongo muy torpe y además era mi primer maquillaje artístico, por lo que ese día tuve muchas primeras veces. Los lentes, los productos, las técnicas, el tiempo, todo la información era nueva y fue mucho con demasiado. Internamente me volví un desastre, cambiaba de emoción/pensamiento cada dos segundos y esto hacía que me costara aún más concentrarme en la practica. Llegó un punto en el que prácticamente me rendí y solo quería que el día acabara.
>It was frustrating for me in many ways, but I did my best to cope. I have a hard time working under stress, I get very clumsy and also it was my first makeup artistry, so I had a lot of firsts that day. The lenses, the products, the techniques, the time, all the information was new and it was a lot with too much. Internally I became a mess, I was changing emotions/thoughts every two seconds and this made it even harder for me to concentrate on the practice. It got to a point where I practically gave up and just wanted the day to end.
Créanme que no todo fue malo, tampoco me arrepiento pero no voy a contarles una versión maquillada de las cosas. No estoy diciendo que la metodología estuvo mal ni nada, simplemente a mí no me funcionó del todo. Lo digo de esta forma porque todo el bloque de la mañana, fue muy útil y educativo. En la tarde tal como les mencioné, me lié toda y fue un choque total pero también aprendí.
>Believe me, it wasn't all bad, I don't regret it either, but I'm not going to tell you a make-up version of things. I'm not saying that the methodology was bad or anything, it just didn't work for me. I say it this way because the whole morning block was very useful and educational. In the afternoon, as I mentioned, I got all mixed up and it was a total shock, but I also learned.

Que al final, lo importante son los conocimientos o así lo veo yo. De nada me habría servido un día ameno y lleno de calma si no aprendía. Todos sabemos que encontrar un balance entre la espectativa y la realidad, es fuerte. Yo trabajé muchísimo para poder asistir al curso y llevarme la mejor experiencia posible, de cierta forma lo fue aunque distinta a la que esperaba. Me siento muy bien de poder decir que esto lejos de restar, sumó... Por más contradictorio que parezca.
>In the end, the important thing is knowledge, or so I see it. A day full of fun and calm would have been useless if I didn't learn. We all know that finding a balance between expectation and reality is hard. I worked very hard to be able to attend the course and have the best possible experience, in a way it was, although different from what I expected. I feel very good to be able to say that this, far from subtracting, added... As contradictory as it may seem.
Más que una experiencia, adquirí un gran aprendizaje. No solo del maquillaje, también como ser humano y todo lo que viví ese día, me hizo darme cuenta de muchas cosas importantes. He crecido un montón, he mejorado como persona y admito que, habían ciertos aspectos que ignoraba pero ese día los noté. Fue un momento muy enriquecedor, que jamás olvidaré y me alegra poder compartirlo con ustedes.
>More than an experience, I acquired a great learning experience. Not only about makeup, but also as a human being and everything I experienced that day made me realize many important things. I have grown a lot, I have improved as a person and I admit that, there were certain aspects that I ignored but that day I noticed them. It was a very enriching moment that I will never forget and I am happy to share it with you.

En esta parte me emocioné y desvíe un poco, ciertamente dejé algunos sucesos fuera. Hicieron tres rifas/sorteos muy chéveres, en esta oportunidad no gané nada pero es bueno saber que las personas que ganaron, disfrutarán sus premios al máximo porque eso es lo único que importa. Dieron una paleta Phuket de Aria Cosmetics, la paleta Bora Bora de la misma marca y una bolsa con varios productos de skincare, fueron tres ganadoras en total.
>In this part I got a little excited and deviated, I certainly left some facts out. They did three very cool raffles/draws, this time I didn't win anything but it's good to know that the people who won, will enjoy their prizes to the fullest because that's all that matters. They gave a Phuket palette from Aria Cosmetics, the Bora Bora palette from the same brand and a bag with several skincare products, there were three winners in total.
Hablando de ganadoras, en esta oportunidad hicieron algo muy genial en Instagram. Una dinámica que tuvo como premio un cupo para el curso, esta misma chica el día del evento ganó la paleta Bora Bora que les mencioné y realmente me sorprendió lo rápido que trabajó, fue la primera en terminar. Ella era la única que había hecho maquillaje artístico antes, de hecho la dinámica se trataba de hacer un reel de transiciones de un look artístico.
>Speaking of winners, this time they did something really cool on Instagram. A dynamic that had as a prize a place for the course, this same girl the day of the event won the Bora Bora palette that I mentioned and I was really surprised how fast she worked, she was the first to finish. She was the only one who had done makeup artistry before, in fact the dynamic was about making a reel of transitions of an artistic look.

Volviendo a lo ocurrido el día del evento, otros patrocinantes dijeron presente. [La fábrica del cupcake](https://instagram.com/lafcupcake_?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) con unas pequeñas galletas, que según yo eran de coco y tenían una consistencia muy agradable, además de un muy buen sabor. Creo que llegué finalmente a una de mis partes favoritas, los dulces de [Deliciosisimos Sweet](https://instagram.com/deliciosisimo2?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)... No se cómo empezar porque todo fue espectacular, la presentación, el sabor, las porciones. Fue simplemente maravilloso, las galletas de mantequilla con chispa de chocolate sabían súper bien. Pero mi gran favorita fue la marquesa de chocolate, sabía perfecta y la porción era sumamente generosa, la disfruté como no tienen una idea... A mí no me gusta el chocolate, tomen esto en cuenta e imaginen lo deliciosa que estaba. Además, quedé total y absolutamente enamorada de la presentación, díganme si no está hermosa.
>Back to what happened on the day of the event, other sponsors were present. [La fábrica del cupcake](https://instagram.com/lafcupcake_?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) with some small cookies, which according to me were coconut and had a very nice consistency, plus a very good taste. I think I finally got to one of my favorite parts, the sweets from [Deliciosisimos Sweet](https://instagram.com/deliciosisimo2?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)... I don't know how to start because everything was spectacular, the presentation, the taste, the portions. It was just wonderful, the chocolate chip butter cookies tasted super good. But my big favorite was the chocolate marquise, it tasted perfect and the portion was extremely generous, I enjoyed it like you have no idea? I don't like chocolate, take this into account and imagine how delicious it was. Besides, I was totally and absolutely in love with the presentation, tell me if it is not beautiful.

Ahora voy a aprovechar este espacio para hablar de mi momento favorito de ese día, un gesto increíble que no me canso de agradecer y que me hizo recordar la razón por la que estaba ahí y no en otro lugar. Tal vez se preguntarán ¿Por qué este curso y no otro? ¿Por qué [Gaby Blanco](https://instagram.com/gabyblancomakeup?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) y no otra artista del maquillaje?
>Now I am going to take this space to talk about my favorite moment of that day, an incredible gesture that I can't thank enough and that made me remember the reason why I was there and not somewhere else. Y es que más allá del talento, siempre busco calidad humana y [Gaby Blanco Makeup](https://instagram.com/gabyblancomakeup?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) tiene ambas cosas de sobra. En medio de mi estrés y cierta sensación de derrota, la mayoría de las personas se estaban yendo... Era tarde e independientemente de lo mucho o poco que me faltara, el evento se estaba acabando. Yo empecé a guardar mis cosas y le pedí a mi papá que fuera a buscarme, en eso Gaby se acercó a mí y preguntó algo. Después de oír mi respuesta fue hacía sus cosas y trajo consigo una paleta de bodypaint Muba y una paleta de aquacolor Planetoid.
>Well, beyond talent, I always look for human quality and [Gaby Blanco Makeup](https://instagram.com/gabyblancomakeup?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) has both things to spare. In the midst of my stress and a certain sense of defeat, most of the people were leaving. It was late and regardless of how much or how little I was missing, the event was coming to an end. I started to put my things away and asked my dad to come and get me, at that moment Gaby came up to me and asked something. After hearing my answer he went to his things and brought with him a Muba bodypaint palette and a Planetoid aquacolor palette.

Las extendió hacía mí y me dijo que me las iba a prestar, que ella sabía y entendía que el tiempo de cada quien es distinto. Que cada persona se maneja de forma diferente y que ella quería que yo practicara, cuando estuviera más calmada y me sintiera bien. Se los digo en serio, hasta ese momento nadie había hecho algo remotamente similar por mí y estaba extremadamente sorprendida, agradecida, conmovida... En fin, tantas cosas. Yo le pregunté que si realmente estaba segura y ella insistió en que estaba bien, que una vez las desocupara las llevara a la sede principal de [Cosmo Chic](https://instagram.com/oficialcosmochics?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=). No me dió un tiempo específico ni nada por el estilo, simplemente me las dió y me transmitió los que les mencioné hace un momento.
>She extended them to me and told me that she was going to lend them to me, that she knew and understood that everyone's time is different. That everyone handles differently and that she wanted me to practice, when I was calmer and feeling good. I tell you seriously, until that moment no one had ever done anything remotely similar for me and I was extremely surprised, grateful, touched... In short, so many things. I asked her if she was really sure and she insisted that it was fine, that once I vacated them I would take them to [Cosmo Chic](https://instagram.com/oficialcosmochics?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) principal headquarters. She didn't give me a specific time or anything like that, she just gave them to me and told me what I mentioned a moment ago.
