The animal world has always been governed by the law of the strongest or smartest and the ocean is no exception for larger creatures to eat other weaker ones. That unless they have protection.

Humpback whales are giant and quiet animals, but they apparently do not like bullying at all because they decided to defend a seal from an orca attack that wanted it as their lunch.
 
### Humpback whales in defense of the weakest

Whales are the queens of the ocean and apparently do not want anyone to mess with their subjects. An impressive video captured how two humpback whales defended seals from the attack of a group of killer whales. As you can see in the video captured by marine ecologists during an expedition to Antarctica, killer whales, popularly known as "killer whales", planned to make a weddell seal their lunch.

But their menu had to change, as the humpback whales came out in defense of their seal friend taking her to a safe place and also continued patrolling the area hitting the killer whales with their tails when they came closer. The behavior of the humpback whales in front of the killer whales is not new, since confrontations between both species had already been witnessed, either in self-defense or of another weaker animal.

According to specialists in marine biology and animal behavior from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the United States, it is no coincidence that humpback whales react in this way to orcas. This species of whale that lives in different oceans and is in danger of extinction recognizes orcas or "killer whales" as a predator that is on the lookout for their young and just humpback whales are known for the strong bond between mother and children.
