¡Muy buenas noches a todos! Vengo a mostrarles mi más reciente dibujo correspondiente al **Foxtober**, el cual es un reto de dibujo que hallé en Twitter y que me pareció interesante. La idea que tengo es crearle o dibujarle varios trajes a mi personaje **Puyoko**, basándome en las diferentes palabras que aparecen en el mencionado reto. El día de hoy tocó *Poción*.

The idea I have is to create or draw various outfits for my character **Puyoko**, based on the different words that appear in the aforementioned challenge. Today it was *Potion*.

A la hora de elaborar el boceto, utilicé una hoja de papel blanca de un block pequeño que tengo y un portaminas. Cuando pienso en una poción, lo primero que me viene a la mente es su contenido, así que mi idea era tratar de recrear ese efecto líquido. A medida que iba dibujando, pensé en una lámpara de lava je je Le coloqué a modo de decoración, un lazo con una etiqueta, para dar a entender que es una especie de botella y allí esta anotado su efecto (como en los videojuegos). Una vez definido el diseño, procedí a delinearlo con mi marcador punta fina de color negro.

> When making the sketch, I used a white sheet of paper from a small pad that I have and a mechanical pencil. When I think of a potion, the first thing that comes to mind is its content, so my idea was to try to recreate that liquid effect. As I was drawing, I thought of a lava lamp hehe I placed a ribbon with a label on it as a decoration, to imply that it is a kind of bottle and its effect is noted there (as in video games). Once the design was defined, I proceeded to outline it with my black fine tip marker.

Inmediatamente pasé a los colores. Desde que inicié el reto, estoy usando unos marcadores para cubrir casi todo el dibujo. Sé que la superficie que estoy usando (las hojas), no son las más adecuadas para trabajar con este tipo de material... pero procuro de tener cuidado y de colocar algo debajo para no manchar las demás hojas del block ja ja Utilicé luego, los crayones de madera para aportar algo de sombras, así como pintar las zonas más claras, como la piel. Y definí con el marcador negro punta fina, algunos detalles.

> I immediately went to colors. Since I started the challenge, I'm using some markers to cover almost the entire drawing. I know that the surface I am using (the sheets) are not the most suitable for working with this type of material... but I try to be careful and place something underneath so as not to stain the other sheets of the block ha ha I used later, the wooden crayons to add some shadows, as well as paint the lighter areas, such as the skin. And I defined with the fine tip black marker, some details.

Ahora se viene la parte interesante. Últimamente he estado experimentando con la elaboración de gifs o animaciones pequeñas, pero como eso lo realizo a través del dibujo digital, pensé en la forma de elaborar el gifs pero siguiendo el estilo de dibujo tradicional (Porque me gusta complicarme la existencia ja ja). Así que elaboré unas cuantas piezas extras, que utilizaría a modo de "capas", las hice en un trozo de hoja aparte y luego lo recorté. Se supone que la secuencia es el movimiento del líquido o la poción en sí, así que, cada región contaría con tres movimientos, es decir, tres capas (para complicarme la existencia como mencioné, pero no tanto ja ja).

> Now comes the interesting part. Lately I've been experimenting with making gifs or small animations, but since I do that through digital drawing, I thought about how to make gifs but following the traditional drawing style (Because I like to complicate my existence ha ha). So I made a few extra pieces, which I would use as "layers", made them on a separate piece of paper and then cut it out. The sequence is supposed to be the movement of the liquid or the potion itself, so each region would have three movements, that is, three layers (to complicate my existence as I mentioned, but not so much ha ha).

Así que, para elaborar el gif, trabajaría utilizando la técnica del stop motion, que es tomar foto de cada movimiento distinto de capas para luego unirlos. Como ya mencioné, elegí sólo tres secuencias, ya que estaba algo corta de tiempo y la idea es terminar cada dibujo el mismo día. Coloqué las piezas arriba del dibujo y tomé una foto, cambié las mismas y tomé otra, hasta obtener las fotografías que necesitaba.

> So, to make the gif, I would work using the stop motion technique, which is to take a picture of each different movement of layers and then join them. As I already mentioned, I chose only three sequences, since I was a bit short on time and the idea is to finish each drawing on the same day. I placed the pieces on top of the drawing and took a photo, changed them and took another, until I got the photos I needed.

Una vez que tuve las fotografías, a través del programa de edición **Photoshop** elaboré la secuencia de imágenes, utilizando las fotos, repetidas dos veces. Exporté a gif y listo, ya tenía mi animación. No quedó del todo perfecto, ya que no cuento con un tripode, así que sostuve el teléfono con mi mano en todo momento... y luego tenía que bajarlo para mover las piezas... de modo que era complicado obtener la misma ubicación al volver a agarrar el teléfono. Pero, estoy satisfecha con el resultado.

> Once I had the photographs, through the editing program **Photoshop** I created the sequence of images, using the photos, repeated twice. I exported to gif and that's it, I already had my animation. It wasn't quite perfect as I don't have a tripod so I held the phone in my hand the whole time...and then I had to put it down to move the pieces...so it was hard to get the same location when pick up the phone again. But, I am satisfied with the result.
