Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de la escritura creativa! Como ya se ha vuelto costumbre, una vez más me uno al [concurso](https://peakd.com/hive-192096/@lanzjoseg/concurso-observa-piensa-escribe-2fe9498749354), asociando un poco la fotografía con mis vivencias del pasado.

Hace mucho tiempo que me gradué de la universidad, pero cuando estudiaba allí, estaba tan enfrascada con la carrera que siempre me iba temprano con la determinación de llegar a las ocho de la mañana a las instalaciones, muy a pesar de que mis clases comenzaban a eso de las seis de la tarde, porque se trataba de una carrera nocturna. Todo esto porque prefería estudiar en la biblioteca, dado que era un lugar bastante silencioso y el aire acondicionado siempre estaba al máximo.

Me gustaba mucho estudiar sola, siendo que, a pesar de que mis compañeros hacían grupos de estudio, yo sentía que no aprendía nada estando al lado de otros. En los grupos de estudio, notaba que perdíamos tiempo en charlas, en un mismo ejercicio y en ocasiones me tocaba detenerme para ayudar a mis compañeros y yo no lograba avanzar. Me gustaba mucho resolver los ejercicios en los libros que el profesor solía utilizar para aquellas materias, dándome cuenta de que una vez que entendía del todo la teoría, las prácticas se volvían bastante sencillas y hasta de cierta manera me parecía hasta divertido.

A pesar de que algunas materias fueran vistas por mis compañeros como difíciles yo aprendí durante esa etapa que no había algo lo suficientemente complicado para que no pudiéramos entenderlo. A veces sólo necesitamos apartarnos y dedicarle el tiempo en solitario. Así es como pasé de no entender nada durante la primera clases de cálculo, a volverme una de las mejores de mi salón. No me quedé con lo visto en clase y cambié mi actitud. Estaba completamente determinada a aprender así que me senté con la convicción de que lograría entender lo que estaba en mis apuntes y así fue...

En ese tiempo, cuando estudiaba y algo me apasionaba, me volvía bastante obsesiva, lo admito. No obstante, Aunque la mayoría del tiempo podía defenderme sola a la hora de estudiar, en ocasiones, aparecía algún ejercicio que no comprendía o alguna duda surgía en medio de mis estudios. Cuando eso ocurría en lugar de consultarle a alguno de mis compañeros, prefería ir directamente con los profesores.

Cada profesor tenía una oficina y siempre que ese presentaban al inicio de cada semestre daban el número de aula que les correspondía y los horarios de atención. Siempre estaba al tanto de estos horarios y cuando eran necesario acudía para consultar. No me gustaba mucho esta acción ya que en ocasiones, Cuando había muchas dudas de parte de los demás, había que hacer fila para ser atendido por el profesor, lo cual limitaba bastante el tiempo que pudiera ofrecerte para despejar tu duda.

Por suerte, tuve la oportunidad de que en varias ocasiones las veces que iba a consulta, los profesores se hallaban más desahogados o solos, lo cual me ayudaba bastante a poder hacer todas mis mis preguntas y si el profesor estaba de buen humor, al darse cuenta de lo interesado que estaba en su materia, hasta podía darte algunos tips o explicarte algún ejercicio que no hubiera mostrado en clase.

No sé cómo serán las cosas actualmente en las universidades en cuanto a este tema de las consultas, pero al menos me alegro de que en ese tiempo, tuve experiencias bastante buenas y ningún profesor fue negativo o pesado conmigo. Me he enterado de casos de profesores en la actualidad que han sido crueles con alumnos o si les cae mal, han buscado de que se retiren de la carrera al hacerles presión o bulling. Pensar en ese escenario me parece bastante sorpresivo, ya que recuerdo que en ese tiempo cuando hablaba con los profesores fuera del salón de clase, en un lugar en el que sólo estábamos nosotros dos ellos, eran bastante amables y no negaban su conocimiento, como una forma de alentarte a seguir aprendiendo.

A pesar de que con el tiempo, perdí el interés hacia esa carrera y me gradué, me gusta recordar esa época en la cual, realmente amaba estudiar. En la actualidad, aunque no me encuentro inscrita en un centro de estudio, estoy buscando de aprender por mi cuenta diferentes cosas, así que espero poder recuperar un poco de esa disciplina y actitud que tenían durante ese tiempo. Sólo que ahora, mi espacio de consulta no será un cubículo pequeño sino la amplia red.

I graduated from college a long time ago, but when I was a student there, I was so engrossed in my degree that I always left early, determined to get to school by eight in the morning, even though my classes started around six in the evening, as it was a night program. All this because I preferred to study in the library, since it was a fairly quiet place and the air conditioning was always on full blast.
<br>
I really liked studying alone, even though my classmates formed study groups, I felt like I wasn't learning anything being around others. In study groups, I noticed we wasted time chatting and working on the same exercise, and sometimes I had to stop to help my classmates, and I couldn't make any progress. I really enjoyed working through the exercises in the textbooks the professor used for those subjects, realizing that once I fully understood the theory, the practical work became quite simple, and in a way, I even found it fun.

Although some subjects were considered difficult by my classmates, I learned during that time that nothing was too complicated for us to understand. Sometimes we just need to step back and dedicate time to it alone. That's how I went from not understanding anything during my first calculus class to becoming one of the best in my class. I didn't just limit myself to what I'd learned in class and changed my attitude. I was completely determined to learn, so I sat down with the conviction that I would be able to understand what was in my notes, and that's exactly what I did...

At that time, when I was studying and passionate about something, I would become quite obsessive, I admit. However, although I could mostly manage on my own when studying, occasionally a problem would appear that I didn't understand, or a question would arise in the middle of my studies. When that happened, instead of consulting one of my classmates, I preferred to go directly to the teachers.
<br>
Each professor had an office, and whenever they showed up at the beginning of each semester, they would give me their classroom number and office hours. I was always aware of these hours and would go in for consultations when necessary. I didn't like this very much because sometimes, when there were a lot of questions from other people, you had to wait in line to be seen by the professor, which significantly limited the time I could offer to clear up your doubts.
<br>
Luckily, on several occasions, when I went for consultations, the professors were more relaxed or alone, which helped me a lot to ask all my questions. If the professor was in a good mood, realizing how interested I was in his subject, he might even give me some tips or explain an exercise he hadn't shown in class.
<br>
I don't know what things are like at universities these days regarding this issue of consultations, but at least I'm glad that during that time, I had pretty good experiences and no professor was negative or harsh with me. I've heard of cases of professors now who have been cruel to students or, if they disliked me, have tried to get them to drop out of the program by pressuring or bullying them. Thinking about that scenario seems quite surprising to me, since I remember that at that time when I would talk to professors outside of class, in a place where it was just the two of us, they were quite kind and didn't deny their knowledge, as a way of encouraging you to keep learning.
<br>
Although over time, I lost interest in that program and graduated, I like to remember that time when I truly loved studying. Currently, although I'm not enrolled in a school, I'm trying to learn different things on my own, so I hope I can regain some of that discipline and attitude I had during that time. Only now, my consulting space won't be a small cubicle, but the vast web.
