This afternoon, I headed from home to the construction site of my future coffee shop. Today, it was my turn to start building the bathroom and shower room.

The bathroom and shower room that I carefully built are located at the back of the house. Today's work began with preparing important materials such as cement. I prepared a cement tray, then put in sand, followed by cement and water. Mix all the ingredients together with a shovel until the cement is sticky and ready for building bricks. When the cement mixture is ready, it's time to prepare the next piece of equipment, which is to lay down the bricks to prepare to form the base for my dream bathtub. My husband took the main role in the construction, while I helped to pick up various equipment skillfully and recorded these progress images to update my friends on the progress of my dream cafe.

In addition to the progress of the bathroom, the open area behind the house, which will be a future relaxation area, is also being prepared. I have ordered about 10 truckloads of soil to prepare for landscaping to become a beautiful backyard in the future. This shows my vision for this cafe, not just a coffee shop, but a perfect area for relaxation. Every step of the construction, whether it is preparing cement, transporting bricks, or even planning for the backyard area, reflects my dedication and the dream I have for this cafe. Taking action today is another important step that makes my dream a little closer to reality.
After the cement was ready, we let the cement set for a while, letting it set a little bit, waiting for the big job to come. My husband and I prepared to continue with the next job with a red level measuring device that came with threads and colored powder. Seeing the colored powder shoot out of the threads when we flicked them onto the surface to measure the line was an exciting and impressive moment for me. Because it was not just a mark, but it was like starting to create something concrete soon. Both of us worked together to measure and mark the area we wanted as intended. When everything was ready, we did not hesitate to start working immediately. Starting with laying bricks one by one, mixing with the prepared cement, meticulously arranging them in rows. In the construction, we had to make sure that the bricks we laid were always straight and level. Of course, we had to rely on a spirit level, which, although its name is quite difficult and confusing for me as a newbie in the construction industry, is an essential tool that I cannot miss. To be honest, for me, construction work is completely new. The tools that my husband called for seemed dazzling. Sometimes I picked up the wrong one, often picked up the right one. He called for one piece, but I picked up another. Sometimes there were 2-3 tools to choose from, but none of them were the ones he wanted (haha). It was an experience. It was fun mixed with a little bit of bumpiness, but it was a challenge that made me learn new things at the same time. While my husband was working, diligently laying bricks, I took the opportunity to pick up my phone and start recording the stories and experiences that we were facing right now. Construction work is not easy. It requires both physical strength, carrying, lifting bricks, mixing cement, and mental strength, having to be patient, focused, and calm because every little detail affects the structure and strength of the house that we are building.

Prepare our hero "red bricks" and slowly move each brick to place them in an orderly manner. Then enter the equally important step, which is mixing the cement. I carefully scoop the cement into a bucket, mix water and other ingredients according to the proportions my husband tells me to get the right consistency of cement, ready for today's construction.
While I am working, mixing the cement, my husband starts the brickwork skillfully. My eyes are fixed on him without blinking. Each brick is meticulously placed on the cement line. He uses a tape measure to measure all the time to make sure the brick line is straight and level, not off by even a millimeter.
After laying the bricks for a while, it is time for another layer of red bricks, which are an important factor in making the bathtub block more stable and strong. I watch my husband work intently amidst the scorching heat of the room. I cannot help but admire his dedication.
Working today has taught me many things. Even though it seems like a job that mainly requires physical strength, details and precision are equally important. Every brick that is laid down is not just stacking, but it is gradually building the strength of our house. And when I look at the work that is gradually taking shape, I feel very good when this piece is almost finished. But it is not finished yet because I am still not ready to take a shower.
