Who doesn't hate traffic?! There's nothing worse than heading to work in the morning at a slug's speed. Traffic lights can actually make traffic worse because they can hold up full roads while giving a green light to empty ones. With this ability to communicate, motion sensors, heat sensors, and even cameras are able to work together to detect traffic. This creates smart traffic systems that are able to give more green time for busy roads. 

The systems get even better as the sensors begin to store data. The traffic systems can then predict traffic trends.
