When stating your emotions to another, own your emotions by using "I" statements instead of "you" statements. It really does help communication evolve more naturally and peacefully. By stating how "I" feel or stating what "I" have done, "I" don't threaten the person "I'm" communicating with and put them on the defensive. It keeps things neutral and productive. Be aware of others but always pick yourself first by calling your feelings out for what they really are instead of putting blame on others for what you are experiencing.

 Am I projecting? Yes, I am working to make the "I" statement an automatic response, as of now "I" am catching my self using "you " statements and then correcting them. It is rather enlightening how often we try to weigh down others... and for what? It's just learned behavior I am convinced. Here's to continuing my emotional education and to the journey of owning it!
