Taking this into consideration, we can admit that even an honest project that wants to raise funds through the ICO is bound to fail, because people will not trust it.
IEO, in which the exchange acts as an intermediary when tokens are bought and sold, got lots of hype last winter/spring with a large-scale IEO BTT tokens on the platform Binance Launchpad.
However, its popularity is also decreasing sharply.
Many tokens do not collect even a hard cap during a few months of their placement.
After the sale is over, the rate of this tokens falls rapidly and this does not allow investors to earn and so on.
In addition, young startups usually have to pay quite large amounts of cash to make the trading platform become their intermediary to distribute tokens at the platform.
Well, the search for private investors is usually quite an impossible task for young companies to carry out, because such companies cannot prove these very investors that their product is beneficial and valuable.
But the main disadvantage of all these methods is that after a sale ends, a startup receives the entire amount of money and can spend it unevenly, due to its inexperience or because project management may take some fraudulent actions towards money received. Besides, after all the funds are collected, the startup may not actually keep the promises initially made to investors.
This is the exact reason why modern methods of attracting investments, such as IEO and ICO are losing their popularity among the investors.
