<p>First of all: thanks for that!&nbsp;</p>
<p>Since a lot of people seem to have the same questions, and a lot of times I'm answering in the same manner, today I'd like to share the given information with a wider audience.</p>
<h3>There are basically three things that make a difference!</h3>

<h1>How To Write An Article On Steemit&nbsp;</h1>
<p><strong>In my today's tutorial video I'm not going to talk about content.</strong></p>
<p>I rather presume that you already have a brilliant idea, an experience, a piece of knowledge or whatever story holding in your hands. It surely is something nobody else is able to provide, and now it's the time to publish it.</p>
<p>Good.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Once you've created the idea, there are some basic rules regarding how to structure an article.&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>They may also apply for your steemit #introduceyourself post where you present yourself in a personal way. It's actually applicable for whatever blog post you're going to publish.&nbsp;</p>
<h3>The sooner you start to follow a general writing strategy, the merrier.<br>

<h2>Before talking about text, these are the 3 points that I believe are able to make a huge difference:</h2>
<ol>
  <li>The title&nbsp;</li>
  <li>The main image&nbsp;</li>
  <li>The very first sentence&nbsp;</li>
</ol>
<h3>Watch my video, and you'll know why :-)</h3>
<p>Furthermore, it's important to bring the most relevant information to the front and leave details in the back. That can be done by using headlines and different font styles (sizes).&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Last but not least (thank you for this outstanding advice, @anomadsoul): try to write MUSIC. Yes, music!</strong></p>

I have already noticed the importance of the choice of the first image, because it becomes a preview for a post. Agree that Correctly matched the picture and the title sometimes decide the fate of your message.
But the rhythm and length of sentences... you Know, I never counted the number of words in my sentences. But it may be worth it? ;-)

I remember you and your message!!! It was hilarious: you apologized for passing my followers count from (the beautiful) 420 to 421 😀😀😀 Wow... life is running fast. Now there are almost 1,000. Not sure where they came from and if they found what they were looking for. Hopefully they did 😉

Getting back to your question: you can't upload images and videos to steemit, so there is no hosting service. What you always need is another place where to publish it to then use the address (link) in order to include the video/image on steemit. I use YouTube for my videos. If you wanted to do the same, you'd need a YT account. Then upload the video from your smartphone or disk or wherever you've stored it. And then you can include / embed your video here in an article. Does that sound helpful to you?
