<p>Will be working on creating new steemit accounts in the meantime, using <a href="https://steeminvite.com/"><strong>steeminvite</strong></a>. <strong>"As many as possible!"</strong></p>
<p>I have already started sending invites but mostly to people i know or to people who have been referred to me. Currently, i have a list of emails and i have started sending invites to this list.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prior to now, i used to give out <strong>gifts of steem</strong> for some users who have experienced delays with sign-ups, so that they can open accounts using <a href="http://anon.steem.network/"><strong>anonsteem</strong></a>, if they so desire but this is after explaining <strong>"the advantages of waiting to sign-up using the conventional </strong><a href="https://signup.steemit.com/"><strong>steemit sign-up"</strong></a><strong>.&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>One powerful feature steemit has that's special as its a rarity in the crypto-environment is <a href="https://steemit.com/recover_account_step_1"><strong>"account recovery".</strong></a> Even in cases where an account is compromised, its original owner has a chance of recovering such account within 30 days, especially, if he still has a hold of the original "recent password" and access to email used during account-creation.&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="https://steemit.com/blocktrades/@blocktrades/enhancements-to-blocktrades-steem-account-creation"><strong>@blocktrades has provisions for that as well with their account-creation process, if you are signed up with them.</strong></a><strong> @anonsteem</strong> may too but i am not very sure, thus, i like to admonish people using @anonsteem to keep even <strong>"the first generated password"</strong> provided them by @anonsteem. Ofcourse, you will need to have changed that password to a steemit generated password and save that specially.</p>
<p>Overall, it is very essential to try to keep existing passwords safe! Apply best practices online so as not to lose original password and perhaps, using the other steemit keys for log-ins instead of the "original password", while keeping the "original password" as safe as possible.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Well, i am currently helping as many new signups as i can, sign up. I am trying steeminvite as well, now. This requires a delegation on my part but moreso, <strong>"education"</strong> involving instilling in these new steemians, the culture of powering up too.&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote>Ofcourse powering-up is optional but especially with newer accounts, with still <strong>"limited Steem power"</strong>, the first aim should be to power up to avail of sufficient bandwidth to interact with the steem blockchain, in transactions like upvotes, comments, transfers etc</blockquote>
<p>The number of prospective sign-ups to steemit is increasing drastically, thus, the additional need to help more extensively where possible. <strong>Note that:</strong> steemit is working on a fix, that will improved the sign-up process. I have confirmed this in a recent chat and we all know of Hardfork 20, that has improved <a href="https://steemit.com/steem/@steemitblog/hardfork-20-velocity-development-update"><strong>"Velocity"</strong></a> in its pipeline.</p>
<blockquote>It is essential to recall that the <strong>manual verification method currently involved in steemit-account-opening</strong> while looking like a setback has its positives.&nbsp;</blockquote>
<p>In the past, steemit used to give<strong> gifts of SP</strong> to new users but it turned out that users could sign up just to get <strong>gifts of SP</strong> and beyond that could create a bulk number of account to cash out hundreds of dollars worth of steem etc. Too, impersonation was easier! <strong>These things</strong> have <strong>"cost"</strong>, not only in terms of lost monetary value but also in terms of lost bandwidth as bandwidth is directly proportional to steem power</p>
<blockquote>Much of this lost gifts-of-SP was from the steemit account as well, much of which can have been used for further steemit-development-expenses etc</blockquote>
<p>Bandwidth is what allows us to transact on the blockchain for free. So anything to help curb its loss was important.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Then, a hardfork happened that allowed the <strong>"delegation"</strong> feature, allowing the steemit main account to be able to delegate Steem Power to new accounts, till these accounts can grow enough Steem power to be able interact with the steem blockchain on their own.</p>
<p>But even at this, i perceive that a "manual verification method" is still essential during sign-up as even with <strong>"delegation"</strong>, bandwidth that may have done more good in the hands of real verified users, can be "lost" to dormant or perhaps masses of bots.</p>
<p>Again, the number of users is growing drastically and this is ever more evident. More recently, an entire class wants to join steemit and their teacher is passionate about making this happen but there have been delays in their sign-ups. At first, i was open to giving them gifts-of-steem to enable them open accounts using other means (e.g @anonsteem), according to their desires as i prefer that but i am thinking of <strong>numbers more</strong> who may now be desiring to open their steemit accounts too and who have not been able to successfully sign-up using <a href="https://signup.steemit.com/"><strong>"steemit"</strong></a></p>

<p><strong>So here:</strong></p>
<p>Upon sending the "steem invite", in the "default message" sent to them, i will invite them also to show me their introductory post and i will look to encourage it by curation.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Upon encouraging them to start their steemit journey by powering-up, i will be looking to support their posts enough for them to attain 15 SP within a short span of time, so i can also remove <strong>"delegation",</strong> to use for others.</p>
<p>My vote will also constitute inspiration and depending on how the new steemian sees it, "lasting incessant inspiration", for them to start and continue on an exciting steemit journey.&nbsp;</p>

So incase, you find someone with bandwidth problem, while you can tell to them wait a bit for their bandwidth to recover, you can send them gifts-of-steem, in the form of direct power-ups. Same problem happened to me, I invited 5 of my friends , but only one was approved, and that one  approved always encounter the bandwidth problem like me, hehe. but it's ok patience is a virtue:)
at least now I got an idea on how to help my friends in case I passed the 15 SP,

I never know about the power up thing, where i can transfer SP directly to other users. In regards with account verification, yes this is one of the problem because it took so long for every one to get their account verified. As we continue to push through our campaign, promoting steemit...people are getting into sign up right after knowing it, but the long wait of approval makes them disappointed. But thank you @surpassinggoogle for helping us to encourage new user to continue with it. I am thinking if i can spend my sp to let new users in or maybe buy SBD to be spend on @anonsteem.

Wow despite of your worries looking for your Dad's accommodation you still try your best to reach out others! And I'm really glad for this helped you offer since we're all thinking how can we level up our steem power. I think helping people to register will be great,because recently there have been serious complaints from new users that they are unable to  register and some are not getting their passwords....So i think it will be a great idea. And about powering up and sending sp directly to a user i think it is a good development for those that wants to help.

Seriously this will go a long way to help passionate people who want to taste or navigate the Steemit waters to sign up immediately which to me is a welcome development. 

These days, we've been inundated with post and please of newbies who want to join steemit but after registering have waited for weeks to get their account approved up to no avail and most of them end up getting frustrating, lacking the passion and zeal that pushed them to the platform and finally giving up with the registration. Some develop a negative perception about the platform and it takes a lot of convincing and please to win themselves back to the platform.

I myself sometimes which that I have a bigger steem power - I could've created a steemitinvite link and then give it to them, but I'm with a low steem power so it's problematic for me cus I can't help.

But it's good to see you Terry doing this. It'll sure help a lot of persons (real passionate and creative people) to come into the platform easily.

Our group has many invites, others were already confirmed while others still waiting for their approval for almost 3 weeks now. Also one of my groupmates lost her master key which she was not able to recover it, so she singed up for new account and upto now still on awaiting for approval. 
Infact I offered here to sign up an anonsteem or to buy an account from blocktrades coz I felt how important the steemit to her.

As far as I know a little that there is a desktop tool called ***Vessel*** where you can claim rewards,taking power on lease, and also ***inviting friends instantly*** on steemit. They can joined n no time easily. But now I came to know one more super excited good steeminvite tool which is really really superb. I love this one too much...!!

I didnt know you could give someone steem power up until now. Im glad I came here. I personally believe that you are going to help a lot of people sir terry. I have a lot of very promising people who could contribute to steemit but they are just waiting for accounts to be approved or delaying signing up after they graduate.

 I do hope that they solve this bandwidth amd sign up issue so more users can enter the platform. Also, i will continue with helping minnows earn enough in steemit so they can grow and be able to fend for themselves with their steem power. More power to you

It's quite impressive to know that a lot of things has been considered towards improving the utility of steemit. The challenge of one being unnecessarily delayed for a long time after signing up is undeniable, as many had given up in the long wait for their password arrival.

Wow, good to know that something is been done concerning the sign up process because I have in the last 14 days introduced and signed up over 20 newbies but they haven't received their verification yet and some are really disturbing and getting impatient, they are really waiting, am hoping they should get their passwords soon cos once zeal is lost is difficult to get back although I already informed them that getting verified may take 7 days for some.

Thank you for educating me, I never knew that I could power someone up directly. @surpassinggoogle you are really doing a good job for the steemit community despite the situations you find yourself.

I think what you are doing to grow Steemit is great, @surpassinggoogle! As a new user myself, I had to wait 6 days for my account to be authorized. I know of some who have been waiting over a week on their own accounts. And I have struggled so bad with bandwidth errors not letting me access Steemit for half a day, ever day, but I finally received a delegation of SP from a generous friend here. So, now I can work on growing my presence on the platform. Gracious people like you and @hopehuggs are what make Steemit an amazing place to be!!

I've had a handful of people who have tried to register in times past but got stuck at the point of getting confirmed... 
This just made them give up and made me look like I had given info that wasn't true to life...

Am really happy about this. Two of my friends have been waiting for over a months now but haven't been approved. I have even asked them to try creating another account but this time they didn't even gets the confirmation mail on their email. So I learned about Steeminvite but since am just about a month on Steemit, my sp is too little to be able to delegate some for them to get an account. I hope this opportunity will help them gets and account. And with your support too, am sure they will power up to enough sp within two weeks to remove the delegation. Thanks @surpassinggoogle. We are grateful for your endeavors to have more users sign up on steemit. This will increase activity on the blockchain making steem a stronger currency. Features like 'account recovery' are what influence more users to join and use steemit. I've learnt a better way of powering up. Both us and the new users have got to fully make the use of the feature of powering up to make our gains better. This will attract users' attention and influence them not to think about leaving the platform. It's been a long time out on my path, and I sure do have a lot of catching up to do, especially with the @steemsecrets and @teardrops family and a whole lot of amazing and untalented ideas buzzing the Steem-osphere.

I watching videos on youtube I found out many new people in steem leave complaints because they can not register or do not get the confirmation email to have their passwords so I think it would be an interesting idea, but you have to try it first and regarding the sending of sp think that we as users of steem must support these changes or improvements to continue supporting steem to be bigger as a platform since we are the first beneficiaries of the development of steem and together we will achieve it. it is my opinion. interesting post and thanks.

My cousin recently lost his password due to a crashed phone. He didn't write the password down even when i told him to. Now he is trying to register but for over a week now, no response and it is understandable due to the high number of people registering. He was told he need someone which delegation power to help him with a paid account or something like that. He feels disconnected and frustrated. What can be done again sir?

I am very optimistic that SteemInvite will be a very welcoming initiative. I have homies who gave up on Steemit already at the signup stage because of having to wait for days for their accounts to be approved and opened. They just lost the motivation somehow. SteemInvite will be of high important to many of such ones in the future. Kudos for coming up with this.

About your father's health, I studied a few things about the care of Dementia patients during my Preclinical days and I think this might be of help.
-Schedule a regular Medical Checkup. This may take place at home or in the hospital.
-Engage him in productive but non-tasky exercises. It reduces depression
-Take the drugs as prescribed. Please never miss a dose
-Feed him well. He should be given what he likes to eat but make sure his food is well balanced.
-Avoid alcohol-it worsens the symptoms
-Encourage him to join/enrol him in a dementia support group. It fights the dpression
-Maintain an open conversation channel. His questions might be a little bit plenty and illogical. But please try to answer all. You don't know what you are doing for him.

Leasing Sp helps with the bandwidth issue.. I leased to and i dont mind leasing to some people who has same problem, i never knew of this till the moment our New recruits on @Euronation were talking about it... Most of my friends have been having bandwidth problems, and though i they know they should power up, the add up of their steempower has been really so small, you know what it means making a post of $0.2 and you have to powerup.

@surpassinggoogle in my opinion, I advice you do not rent a duplex for him. Just as you said he'll want to attempt mounting the stairs. It is safe for the aged to stay off stairs. It's just to avoid any risks or eventualities. 

Account opening these days has been so tedious. My guys keep complaining that passwords are not sent to them. Does the steeminvite feature deal with challenge?

Despite your hectic schedule, you still reaching people and help them which makes you more a better person. 

I never knew about this steeminvite, thanks for sharing this. About bandwidth problem, I always experienced this problem too. I can't do anything in steemit aside from reading other's post. But thanks to my college friend who invited me here in steemit, @ediah she send me  steem power for delegation so that I will not encounter any bandwidth problem. It's a nice idea helping other steemians just like what you did to us.

Another great initiative from the grand master steemian @surpassinggoogle Terry the BABA himself. This will go a long way helping solve the problem of new account creation delays.

Furthermore, the exposure on powering up for any user is a nice tip. Learning doesn't stop. It's a lifelong journey.

In the past, steemit used to give gifts of SP to new users but it turned out that users could sign up just to get gifts of SP and beyond that could create a bulk number of account to cash out hundreds of dollars worth of steem etc. Too, impersonation was easier! These things have "cost", not only in terms of lost monetary value but also in terms of lost bandwidth as bandwidth is directly proportional to steem power

Much of this lost gifts-of-SP was from the steemit account as well, much of which can have been used for further steemit-development-expenses etc

I just can't wait for HF20 to come, because I think we will be seeing amazing growth once that happens. As of currently, registrations are really holding back all the potential daily sign-ups, because everything has to be approved manually. 
I hope we will see the updates pretty soon. Steemit is already at the top 1000 most visited websites... Just imagine where it will stand when there are no limitations to the daily amount of registrations!

Though I wrote on this bandwidth issue and also helped solve this problem of some Steemians yet I think  this is great:

Thank you @surpassinggoogle. you are not just a gene in this community but a good educator as well. Have bundle of invites that are still waiting for approval and even does multiple attempts.  I never thought you have this steeminvite or maybe we were just silent in the corner lol. I want to give it a try and see how it work for our Tacloban people waiting to have a steemit account.
