<p>On the outside <strong>(where our steemit posts also exist)</strong> and in the search engines, <strong>steem power</strong> matters less and perhaps, <strong>whale or minnow</strong> matters less there too.&nbsp;</p>

<p>They simply find your steemit posts organically even in the search engines, as they look to learn or find solutions to challenges or answers to unanswered questions, thus, their measure of your substance is mostly in <strong>how much you impact them.</strong></p>

<p>I have been on the internet for a long time, even as a boy, endlessly seeking newer ways to stay out-of-the-box and to accomplish this, i had turned to the internet!</p>
<p>In one way <strong>(as a young boy)</strong>, it had felt like this <strong>web space</strong> is an <strong>avenue to the rest-of-the-world</strong> or i had expected it to be so, until you find out very quickly that it is not or it has not been.&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote><strong>Till steemit came into the picture to adjust matters! </strong>(The whole beauty of blockchain is to bring about positive disruption to the old-school stuff that the world very much tends to pose).&nbsp;</blockquote>
<p>Down to the web spaces, this <strong>influence of monopoly</strong> exists, which i didn't expect to be the case, upon starting out on the internet as a boy.</p>
<h1>"I knew i was <strong>tied a bit,</strong> by my location".&nbsp;</h1>
<blockquote>I had established that really early!&nbsp;</blockquote>
<p>I would develop innovation ideas as boy, <strong>against all odds and even norms</strong> and silently go on to the internet where nobody really knows me, with hopes that i could reach out to the world by this means and with hopes that <strong>location would become negligible as an odd.</strong></p>
<p>Ofcourse, when it comes to innovation, i would dream limitlessly and to be limitless, i would be unrealistic and crazy. Hahaha, so even if my&nbsp;idea was of <strong>a video game that would be playable in Mars</strong>; i knew no bounds!</p>
<p>I used to go to canteens to eat<strong> (with the boys)</strong> and everytime, i spotted a round table with surrounding chairs, i would look at my boys and smile inside me and say in mind; this is all we need, to&nbsp;make dreams (innovation ideas) equals reality.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I always knew that <strong>team of like-minded reputable great minds was key</strong>; i mean, give me such team and <strong>i will rally them and we would go move and displace Mount Kilimanjaro by 20 km, at 20 miles per hour!</strong> Hahaha.</p>
<blockquote>But that was only part of what was needed; for i actually needed a <strong>team of un-tied likeminds!</strong></blockquote>
<blockquote>When you are tied, except your genes and you are stubborn (too-lazy-to-quit), you almost are half-human!</blockquote>
<blockquote>Don't doubt me! Hahaha</blockquote>
<p>Yes, <strong>location tied us</strong> and even when we created illusions of (we) being outside-the-box, we kept on <strong>so inside-the-box.</strong></p>
<blockquote><strong>Note:</strong> Not like, we can't have made it in these locations (we are a stubborn too-lazy-to-quit breed), but what may have requires years, may have taken ages! We had a very un-enabling environment!</blockquote>
<p>As the internet starting to become a thing, hope re-started to flourish. <strong>"The worldwide web"</strong> was <strong>it</strong>; our breakthrough! <strong>(A likely enabling environment or close!)</strong> We would be able to make <strong>"dreams equaller to reality"</strong>. There is now a chance, that while the world says, <strong>you can't tour it</strong> because <strong>you are very much half-human</strong>, we can tour it from <strong>the nooks and crannies of our rooms</strong>, attain an enabling environment, where information abounds; rub minds with the rest of the globe or the like-minds in it and rehearse our innovation into fruition!&nbsp;</p>
<h1>But the internet very quickly started to become boring! Why?</h1>
<blockquote>Because location was also very much a factor on this so-called worldwide web!</blockquote>
<blockquote>Wasn't it suppose to be an inanimate thing afterall, without much preferences when it comes to status, location etc?</blockquote>
<p>We expected it to pose positive disruption (adjustment) but it was a recyclement and replay of the same standards that hold sway in the world, <strong>where your location can very very much define you</strong>.&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote>By location, "i mean; <strong>"where you reside!" (Your IP address!)</strong>. I rarely talk race because to me, there is only the <strong>"human race",</strong> with nations being locations!</blockquote>
<h1>I wanted to solve this!</h1>
<p>As a young boy and especially, one who uses the internet with a slightly different expectation from it, due to my reasons for turning to it, i quickly saw alot that could make the INTERNET, truly "INTERNET"!</p>
<blockquote>Well, it maybe it started out fine but over time, the state of the world started to shape it up.</blockquote>
<p>A ton of netizens in the world alike, even obliviously, are trying to adjust the INTERNET, to accomplish this same thing; <strong>"Surpassing Google"</strong>.</p>
<p>Hahaha, when you look at the internet closely, it isn't very un-obvious, that Google can rule and you can easily say Facebook too!&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote>Now, this is not a bad thing. I am not one to eat myself up about other people's success, for i admire it but nothing stops me from doing my own innovation as well.</blockquote>
<p>We still hold knowledge here <strong>(in the world of the illiterates), </strong>that the world doesn't yet know and this <strong>sole knowledge</strong> is the solution to many of the issues the world faces. The elites however, may not know that we have this <strong>sole knowledge</strong> because the illusion that the world creates, <strong>is that the elites are worlds above us</strong>!&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote>So as a boy, i did start to want to educate the world of the things, <strong>that an illiterate knows</strong>, that they don't know! <strong>(Not as an activist, as a problem solver and innovator and lover and as a voice)</strong></blockquote>
<h1>"The only free arsenal i could start with a young boy thus, was my young voice in the form of my words".&nbsp;</h1>
<p>So i looked into writing out stuff and i would try out blogspot and free wordpress and i would write and write and check my analytics, with hopes and it was always nothing to write home about!Hahaha, then i went into domain names and hosting with my small money as i continued seeking to have a voice, then i got very weak service and lost all my blogposts because i didn't pay for backup and when i the year ended, i didn't want to renew my hosting because of their slow service. <strong>This odds can crush a motivated boy's spirits!</strong></p>
<blockquote>Hahaha, then i would try and try and research new ways to try (all the make my voice reach the other nooks and crannies of Earth, where i felt that i also had potential audience, because i never thought my audience was limited to my location)&nbsp;</blockquote>
<blockquote>same as i now never think that the audience for my now steemit posts, <strong>is limited to steemit!</strong></blockquote>
<blockquote><strong>Note:</strong> a part of this research for ways to beat location-limitations on the worldwide-web, was how i found steemit!</blockquote>
<p>I did think location was a factor, in how the webspaces measure relevance<strong> (when i had started out on the internet even as a young boy)</strong>.&nbsp;</p>
<p>So when i join steemit even as a minnow, it didn't matter whether i earned or not because i wanted to be heard and i knew steemit, with its decentralized servers helps matters!&nbsp;</p>
<p>I tell you, even on Facebook, you may not get heard if your are in the Philippines and your audience is in USA; not even on Facebook itself! Worse, when you try to reach out to a potential like-mind on Facebook and you try adding someone from USA as friend; for Facebook can decide to suspend your account.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The first time, i tried to reach out to Mark Zuckerberg in a DM, about an idea that may enhance Facebook, was the first time my Facebook account got deleted and this particular account was not restoreable (according to them and for no discloseable reason). The second time my Facebook account was suspended, i was so devastated that they heard my lamentation and restored my account but they had deleted two of my innovation idea pages "<strong>that i considered dreams".</strong> Then in my mind, i went <strong>(without knowing of decentralization and blockchain)</strong>:</p>
<blockquote>Just when you decide to dare to dream again and Mark throws a Berg at you and Zucks you right out of it!</blockquote>
<p>Hahaha, i had learned how to spell the name "Zuckerberg" in the whole process of languishing in internet's centralization. <strong>Hahaha, i used to spell it "Zukerberg"!</strong></p>
<p>Not saying that <strong>"internet's centralization is bad"</strong>, but gosh, the world of the developing countries have an additional very-uniquely-special need for internet's decentralization, moreso, with regards to <strong>having a voice</strong> at least!</p>
<blockquote>If these worlds don't have sustenance/much-hope/shine, don't take away their vocal chords too!</blockquote>
<h1>My target audience was never in my location.&nbsp;</h1>
<p>I wanted to reach the world out there, basically!&nbsp;</p>
<p>But google, kept telling me, <strong>"you are in Jamaica, so why should we serve, your content to Australia?"</strong> Which is logical but according to me (at the time); this is what would ring in my young mind:</p>
<blockquote>Google smarten up before i take over!&nbsp;</blockquote>
<p><strong>Hahaha, so what if i was a Russian and i went to spend 3 months residing in Bangladesh?</strong></p>
<p>Then, i would say in my mind; "ofcourse, <strong>human intel beats artificial intelligence everytime</strong>, else, type the word <strong>"money"</strong> in google and it should at least show the address to the nearest ATM among its relevant results"! Hahaha.</p>
<p>Over time, on the internet, i started to establish that a huge mass of internet users, enterprises, businesses etc wanted this same sole thing; <strong>"google ranking"</strong> or <strong>search-engine-domination</strong> so to speak!&nbsp;</p>
<p>Yes, the spent millions of dollars on ADs/email lists etc but they never were satisfied because, those who opened their eyes could easily see, that the world's attention is keener on subjects that they have found organically!</p>
<p>Hahaha, then i started to play with the google search engines at the time, (like an illiterate "no books involved") and i would play with the search engines with different search phrases and experiment ways to rank, then i noticed that google owns Youtube too, thus, had a tendency to offer Youtube videos as well in search results as of more relevance than vimeo or daily motion videos and i started to look for ways, to make every post i make appear on the first page of google, every time!</p>
<p>At the time too, i saw a product on clickbank by a young man <strong>(related to Google ranking domination)</strong>, who was said to make his first 40 million USD(S) selling this digital product. Hahaha, i thought it was a software<strong> (something that tweaks the algorithm etc)</strong> all along and at the time, it was selling for 40 dollars each and i was one broke boy. So i signed up for email updates, where they marketed me for months, till there came up a chance to get the digital product for 1 dollar, upon which i found it out to contain only a bunch of PDFs&nbsp;and videos, that taught you how to use the google keyword tool, to find pertinent keywords for posts titles and post-bodies.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Then, it got more established to me: </strong>if a million people bought his product for 40 dollars each and i bought this product <strong>(a bunch of PDFs and Youtube videos) </strong>when it became 1 dollar, then aren't the masses of netizens, intrigued by this sole subject?&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Let me pause on history!</strong></p>
<h1>Your Steemit Post is so so so powerful</h1>
<blockquote>Did you know that companies like insurance companies etc pay as high as 50 dollars per click for ADs, simply to be displayed as ADs on the first page of google?&nbsp;</blockquote>
<blockquote>This equates to millions of dollars annually or so, to accomplish a feat, that several of us have accomplished even obliviously for free, by means of our steemit posts.</blockquote>
<p>I told you i did blogspot and everything for years and my analytics was terrible, even with all my experiments. I have tried writing on Medium too and my analytics was so discouraging on Medium alone, let alone google rankings. Hahaha, i have written on buzzfeed too. I have written on many applications too, one after the other over the years and not only writing; <strong>experimenting!</strong></p>
<p>Hahaha, there is a ton of SEO experts too or many who say, <strong>they are perfect with SEO and stuff</strong> but i am telling you, they can't tell me that they will do better, <strong>SEO-wise</strong>, with a brand new <strong>Wordpress+Domain+Hosting etc</strong> than they would do, if they applied the just the <strong>same/less</strong> expertise on a simple steemit post.</p>
<blockquote>I do a lot of research really and in the past months, i know how many google search results of mine have produced steemit posts on a variety of search queries. I have seen several of my posts ranking too and i found steemit organically, while researching on the search engines (Google). &nbsp;</blockquote>
<p>Steemit brought about real disruption. Infact, one of the most <strong>potent genius</strong> of steemit/steem is the blogging/SEO aspect of it!&nbsp;</p>

<p>Imagine a steemit post on the first page of google/bing/yahoo/etc for every search query ever done; what heights do you think steemit will accomplish in terms of growth/positive-disruption/awesomeness/newness/etc at those heights, when steemit is filled with the substance of reputable great minds!</p>

<p>Now if this is even slightly even the case; <strong>if there is a 1 percent chance</strong> that we can accomplish this by means of our each and every simple steemit post, <strong>won't we maximize 99 percent of every post, to appeal to the masses of audience that we also have in the search engines.</strong></p>
<p>When it comes to breakthrough (as a whole) by means of the internet, it has never been totally about outright earning. It has mostly been about the potential or possibility of earning and perhaps, the potential of touching lives and the potential of telling the world and generations yet unborn: <strong>"i was here!"</strong>.</p>
<p>As for the potential for breakthrough, if you have lived in the developing countries, you will have fuller grasp on how i means this things. Normally, i would tell the boys around me, "let it out there, for the world of the internet!" You just have to let a piece of awesome YOU out there since it is free, even if simply for the sake the evergreenly potential breakthrough.&nbsp;</p>

The brother whale you seek only here on steemit, may not be a steemian yet and may be out there in the world of non-steemian, looking for you actively in the search engines. So why not maximize to the full, the power of your simple steemit posts and enhance its potential by a large measure, giving all potentials in one go e.g increase your likelihood of trending on steemit, increase the likelihood of touching someone's live on steemit and off-steemit, increase the likelihood of getting opportunities on steemit and off-steemit, promoting steemit off-steemit and on steemit, etc</p>
<p>This breakthrough you so heartily seek, can come from some piece of awesome YOU, we have left out there even a decade ago, for its the INTERNET and now, with steemit and its decentralized, uneraseable/permanent nature, even moreso, now than ever before.</p>

I recently have been jobless (if I hadn't said that it my posts yet) and became sad for a while. I got so used to having people around and all of a sudden, it was just me. Steemit showed up like an answered prayer. I finally have an avenue where I can spill my thoughts at without the fear of being the topic of your "friends" topic for their daily gossip. Because seriously, that has been what facebook is for some people. A place to be nosy about other people's lives. You post something and instead of getting help, you get smirks, you get raised eyebrows. Steemit has a lot of people with friendly smiles and encouraging messages.

Sorry about everything, there will be good times and yes, exactly how facebook has been for me. People would smirk on most of my ideas that i would try to play out using facebook pages or even report it as giving them notifications etc and these pages would get suspended. Steemit incentivizes moral but apart from that has steemians with a powerful steemit effect that brings about instant chemistry. If you attend any steemit meetup, you will instantly feel this. Indeed, steemians grow into awesomest versions of themselves

Wow. Really brilliant @surpassinggoogle. So many points were made here. I really agree with you with respect to the importance of our steemit posts and how far our posts go. Steemit very soon will be a place were more lives will be reached. We will surpass google's expectation.:) Our posts will be for front on google search.

When new people hear about Steemit it is on the back of the largest bump in crypto history and they are probably being told they can make a lot of money just blogging. When people come with the attitude that they are going to get rich, and get rich quick, they will be disappointed.

Regardless of what you have been told, it still takes skill and hard work to grow and make money on Steemit. There is a dark side growing that is full of people that are mad that whales don't look at their stuff and complain that they are not getting views.
The point is, you can't expect to get rich and you definitely can't expect to do it quickly. You have to keep your focus on adding value to Steemit and its users. When you focus on adding value, then you will start to become more valuable. If your focus is on making yourself money, then you are missing out on the best part of Steemit. The community. Don't join the dark side. Be a force for the light. I am still a minnow and i really have this as a mindset and i believe we will all get better and make here a better place for the community. Dont chase money, money will have no choice than to chase you. Let your light shine. Touch lives. Every post counts both as a minnow or whale. They have the same importance.

We all have an iota of greatness in us, but the problem is some of us are not ready to bring out this greatness in us. Some of us don't even know we have potentials in us. The worth of gold can never be valued if it is has not undergone the refining process. Seeds have values but their values can only manifest when it has been sown or planted.

We have to develop our innate potentials and the only way to do that is by stepping out of our comfort zone because we humans feel too comfortable enough and that is one of the reasons why we do less.

Alot said. "Impress your own self", that is even harder than impress others. Try tickle yourself and see how much it may not work. This said, i know of lots of opportunities i got from an unknown person who saw my stuff online. Once i was made leader on an online community from someone all the way from Canada because he fell for the person, he saw in my very simple quotes and this wasn't steemit. I don't want to go into testimonies. The world we are from should understand these things without much stressing. It happened on steemit as well, from day one, from minnow days and the boys who know know. Many Naijan steemians know. Beyond that, we need a voice in our world, more than we need money and money exists to spur that voice. It has become beyond us for us. Its about the world, else our we hold no real water. If you really did suffering and understand its essence, you will under these things

I loved the post and I feel like I have gone through many of the same struggles that you have. I tried the blogspot, my own domain hosting, and it honestly never really seemed to work.

Granted my audience were people in the United States and that is where I'm located. It still seems like my content ever really reached that many people as it was buried under people who had found ways to play the Google system. However with the advancements of Steemit it feels like reaching people from all around the world is a much more likely thing to occur.

Just as much as Steemit is a social tool or people can share the personal life stories is also a place where people can share very valuable information the forms of articles, and other forms of media. These things combined will make this is a very powerful tool going into the future.

It’s why I always toss in a tag or two that might not be very high ranking internally on steemit but I hope that in some shape affects a search engine result.  For quite a while my name + one of my tags would often show me in top ranking in extremal search engines. While I thought the name I created in my own mind was original –it’s not! Sometimes there can be hundreds of thousands of results for search terms but I’m towards the top still. 

I still don’t know much about SEO and it really is something I must put some time into better understanding.

I learned most of what i learned from experimentation and one thing i noticed is, if one is log in to youtube, google chrome or gmail results are different. Everything is so tied these days really. Recently, i feel apart from cookies, they may have some means to eavesdrop too and who knows it may already be possible. I joked about it recently but who knows. I bought a pineapple can drink and i was about to drink and discussed or mentioned it to the person beside it and the next video i was going to watch on youtube had a prior ad and it was the same canned pineapple drink that i was drinking and normally most of my ads recently have been related to crypto. Seriously, i wont be surprised. I have noticed that when i am logged on something that google owns, i rank in most things, till i am logged out or go out to use a differnet computer and i will see what's real

I’ve heard many stories similar to that. There was even rumored for a while that advertisers where using frequencies that were out of the range of human hearing that would commutate with other nearby devices for advertisement influencing purposes.

The way advertisement works these days has to be borderline brainwashing these days. I know some people who are so easily influenced by them they seem to have an addiction like symptoms to spending and buying not so needed things when they already are struggling. 

I always find it interesting how fast me searching for something on newegg or amazon and that exact item now follows you around for quite a while in advertisements. Even more interesting was when I bought something and the ads for it followed me around till it was shipped a few days later. Then suddenly they stop showing up. As if they wanted to prevent another similar product from showing up and convincing me to cancel my order and buy that product instead.

I have also noticed as you have how tailored search results become depending what you are logged into.

You really right sir, you have just mentioned yesterday that steemit is faster than the WordPress, in ranking I can tell that even in earnings.  A simple steemit post is so powerful that may change the life of the people.

Wow! A 50$ per click is a rapid money making engine considering millions of internet users may click those unknown Ads to them in the middle of net surfing. I was one of them, ADs are all out the web they can freely use FB, youtube, google, yahoo, and even exist in our facebook messenger.

Yeah I agree with you sir, its an old-school by promoting the platform through ADs but it can be the faster one. And if 50% or even 25% of the #steemit users are IT expert they can spread the world steemit to the world in no time.

Hahaha i wont lie, my kulitness is very very high and perhaps rare. But it is a good kind of kulitness, for the sake of others. Yes ads are faster for sure but the organic method is more solid. Both can definitely work together. Don't worry, its not only steemit, for soon there will specific apps for each niche built on steem. In 2018, communities outside of steem, will be able to integrate steem into their existing web interfaces, so steem will definitely go mainstream

Clicking ads is much expensive, but people is still influenced with the old school and paying some investment for registration. Why pay if there is free and lifetime registration? Do you know what I always think about steemit? The best place ever! Just like you I went ahead on blogspot to open a free blog just because I needed to speak through my heart because the mouth might not be able to say it just the way we want it. But alas! I packed up and up till this moment I do not even know the how about of my blog.

After making a post comparing steemit and a personal blog, I discovered that there is even no basis for comparism in the first place.

Our voice is heard hear without being bulied, maltreated or over-rided. It's good people like you are still in existence. People who have the urge and what it takes to change an aspect of the world.

Indeed! Steemit changed the blogging landscape, as well as the cyber world. In fact, I forgot other websites due to Steemit, except of course, jw.org.

I really agree with it because as to what I had observe in our platform we are engaging with informations. One concrete example is the **utopian.io** in this platform led by @elear  , by posting your contributions to a particular open source application you are helping,innovating,and creating information that is very valuable. All of your contributions are moderated by the moderators that are expert in that field so in that way all the contributions will be filtered. One thing that is the interesting part on this platform is that you can really earn a lot. Even an engineer starting salary here in PH will be overcome if you are so good in contributing utopian.io . Yes I'm totally agreed that we have everything which we have got from Almighty. Now its our turn to give thanks to HIM witch is so simple. We can give him a thanks by doing positive things / Acts.

My SP was 0.01$, I don't even know what is cryptocurrency, my future was in dark, even my friends laughed at me when I tell them about steemit & crypto world. This is so true! As a young scholar, I have always been the idealist. I believe in the inequalities of the world and the justice that a person can bring if only one has the courage to kindle a fire in others.

I have always wanted to have my voice heard on so many platforms. For now, Twitter has been my instrument to share my thoughts about the world. My Tweets did vocalize my thoughts but there is a sense of entitlement to share it with a broader audience. I would like to surround myself with people around the world who shares the same views, who sees the world in a different perspective and is willing to share that view with the world.

It's nice to know that there are a lot of people in the world who shares the same humanitarian essence; who are really driven to make a difference rather than just make a profit. Other platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit have their shares of spreading goodness with the world while making a profit out of it but I think it's about time to share that profit with the world, through Steemit.

Steemit is a beauty in terms of your vision and the way you are going, you will see things fast. This part when it unfolds is also very much a gift. Fortunately for me as i was reading through i stumbled on your **drive**(...i continued seeking to have a voice,) and it almost made me cry out because i found it impossible for such drive to die down. For me, a couple of years back, it helped a lot trying to do anything else so that I could take my mind off. I wish you patience and strength for your loved ones.*

Regarding your post I must say that I have thought a lot about it, as I have seen a very large amount of steemit visitors to come from search engines (45.72 % for the 3 month time frame September till November - data from similarweb).

This means that users search a lot about information that is included in steemit, whether they are articles relevant to steemit or not.

I have seen very remarkable content related to a variety of fields. I am relatively new so I still need time to investigate further but I truly believe that since there many talented persons that keep signing up, this will be another reason for more people to join in.

Posts as yours and some of my friends in Greek-Trail that I have recently read, are giving me many ideas! And ideas are the beginning of everything.

Let's become the change we want to see in this world. In the steemit world and beyond!

Agree with you Sir. I tried many blogging sites too but none of them can even Steemit. The CEO here and developers are very genius! In my 3 years of earning online, I never met a site that accept our flaws but values everything we say.

A really wonderful post @surpassinggoogle, this part where you wrote about not to being jealous of others really touched my heart.

But judging yourself based on others’ metrics also has a very dark side.

Most of the time, when we compare ourselves to others—whether in business or life—we have little to no context around the actually metrics we’re comparing against.

We see our peers being more successful than we are. And rather than see the reasons why, we simply see the massive chasm between us.

Rather than positive emotions and motivations, we get filled with jealousy, hopelessness and self-doubt; the symptoms of growth envy.

And worst of all, it can be truly depressing. When you spend your time thinking about other people’s milestones, it can make your own road feel much, much longer. Like what you’ve accomplished isn’t actually worth a damn.

In a world where most of us are already fighting a tough battle that promises to drag on for a very long time, that’s a crushing blow to your psyche.

Absolutely Agreed with you Terry. "steemit post" is main weapon here. Alexa search and then giving best place to steemit platform. Its seems Alexa analyzing charts. Steemit stared like as our childhood. Basically without any assets she start and then little growth up then she is massive media platform being already now.

No wonder how you got your username. I'm also very active with social media but as all of us here, agrees, Steemit is by far the best platform that we, personally I, don't get embarrassed working on a very articulate post coz I know somehow it pays off. Not only that but Steemit has become my personal wall. The freedom I feel when posting doesn't take down the level when all my social media posts get sum up. You thoughts about location is the heart of an issue in the developed countries. The past success of our parents and grandparents has allow the younger generation to spend time to learning and seeking opportunities. What has happen along the way is the older generation has spoil the youth.

The young ones are expected to go to school earlier in life and more in life. Bachelor degree is minimum now, where Master and PHD are achievers.

On the flip side of this the expectations for the youth has also risen based on the fact they the parents are spending billions on their children. Youth are over burden by debt they can not repay even with help from their parents. Not all children are lucky. Some had to pay their way to college. On top of all that is the US debt. Everyday this number increases and further burdening the youth from advancing because they get taxed more down the road.

This in turn becomes tension and rebellion among the elders and the youth. The elders kick the can down the road and collect more salary while putting the debt toward the younger generations. The younger generations stop working or unwilling to earn enough to pay for the country's debt.

These tension is distracting the population from working together and creating better ways to live life. Of course there are still great things coming out of US but everyday it feels less and less. I just feel if kids in US today were not brainwashed my years of school and burden with debt while older generations spend more time instead of money to nurture growth it will in the long run create many good entrepreneurs. What I mean good is like you @surpassinggoogle. Doing things outside the box that can earn an income and contributing back to the community.

In the US kids are taught more a long the idea that making a quick buck is smart while working hard and earning little is silly. Work smart not hard. But what has come to pass is that all the shortcuts and fast rewards has created a void in dedicated and skillful contributors to society. The wealth of a nation can not be equated by the numbers in a bank account. It is the people themselves that have value for it country. Sorry I got off to a tangent. Carry on.

@surpassinggoogle when i was reading your post i felt as if you are actually talking about me because some of things you said, where actually p part of those things i have done, the thing i never do was to message at ***zuckerberg***. Although I actually started my whole writing career as blogger,  by writing motivational write of which some of my friends will always ask me,  where i actually copied them from,  that gave me relief. I moved to freelancing of which i finally learn to get equipped for the future. Not quite i ran to clickbank because i saw some fake video of someone claiming to have make a lot of sales overnight. He promised to give out the secret by pay $20 i almost fell for it,  but i actually did my research, i later become  a part time blogger, where SEO and google advert become a necessity.
To cut it short i found myself in steemit while in the process of learning web design. I never knew what i can do until i found myself as an innovator and for utopian and also giving out tutorials from my experience. Steemit is more like a dream come true, of which i am yet to fufil all my desires,  i know am still going to do more,  this is just the beginning.

Words are powerful, even Jehovah formed the heavens and earth with his word. The power of life and death is in the tongue (words).

Our steemit post goes beyond steemit, it goes beyond whale, dolphin... it goes into the phere of those who steem power means nothing to. I have always had this mindset of how important my words are, I have seen how my words have changed many things around, I've seen how my words have touch and impacted life.

Being on steemit offers me an opportunity to break the limitation called location. Now my words can go where I've never been. My words can hit you, in your country, in your room, right there in your closet, from your gadget.

The internet and the word will be a better place if we all take into consideration how important our words rapped in that steemit post mean.

i think this ADs even its like you said a old school but i am sure it will work. as for my experience most of the blog site that i visit is came from the advertisement . but i always verify it before i try . i always consult google and the other legit site. but for surpassinggogle you trully are awesome . i believe there is no shortcut in this world hard work is always the solution for success . thank you and God bless to you and your family.

That is a great motivational post .I am indeed greatly motivated ,you have proved that once you have set your goal than there is nothing that can stop you ,it might be a little late but success will be on the way :)
So what if you do not have resource now we have Steemit and the great community for us .I am very much great ful to Steemit and its great members and I am indeed feeling very much welcomed it is indeed a perfect place for me .
Within a couple of days i am gonna get a Laptop of my own thanks to Steemit ,I am couple bucks away from getting it ,if I get that I will be able to be on the platform even more and I will be able to engage to many others more.Wish me luck ;)

am in love with decentralization on all things internet based. The big issue is the service provider being the gatekeeper. This is solved with "mesh networks" and we can get into that in a future post. The other issue that tops the list is hosting our sites, files, and communication. I have came across an open-source startup working to fix the hosting problem.

I do not know how relevant you will find this, since you mention illiterate... Though slightly different, but about creativity, I do also want to 'open up' new spaces of thought, imagination and creativity. Your use of illiterate, voice / voices and writing... One of my favourite authors of all time F. Scott Fitzgerald, you may have heard of him ;) was a terrible speller and had lots of typos in his manuscripts... "After reading a typo-filled version of “This Side of Paradise,” literary critic Edmund Wilson—a classmate of Fitzgerald’s during his Princeton days—declared it “one of the most illiterate books of any merit ever published…full of English words misused with the most reckless abandon.” So what does that say ? I think many people really do not 'understand' creativity, or talent, well what I would call creativity and talent, then that is a whole other minefield... Then I was somewhat bemused when I read recently that F. Scott Fitzgerald never won one award for his writing, which I have been reading since I was 12 or 14... Then that might well say something about awards as well... The internet should open up the world to voices not lose them in search engine ratings and paid for placement.... Our steemit post goes beyond steemit, it goes beyond whale, dolphin... it goes into the phere of those who steem power means nothing to. I have always had this mindset of how important my words are, I have seen how my words have changed many things around, I've seen how my words have touch and impacted life. 

Being on steemit offers me an opportunity to break the limitation called location. Now my words can go where I've never been. My words can hit you, in your country, in your room, right there in your closet, from your gadget.

You will grasp it all. It does take a bit of time, so let time fly but not emptily by. Pacing is essential so that your growth is more deeply-rooted and solid. I put all the information for steemit growth in my blog posts and with so much love and heartfelt care, so if you have time to play some more, just visit my old posts and read them. There is a lot of gem there and the pacing in it is just right, so that you learning is like taking you on a walk. Too, stay awesome!

Wow wow,this really marvels me @surpassinggoogle. You know I spent a considerable amount of time reading and re-reading this post. It was just **TOO MUCH** for me to grab in just one read.while reading thus post, it was like I was reading about my own personal experience right before my eyes. 
We who grew up in '' third world '' countries will better relate with what you have said here. I relate with, and I have learnt so so much from thus post, but for the sake of time I'll talk about just one part(even though I feel like speaking on everything that touched my core in the post) 

I have know what decentralization meant since knowing about crypto, but I never knew that the name was 'decentralized'. Am always thankful to God for this revolution, for it has given a lot of voice to the voiceless, putting everyone on sought of a level playing ground. Prior to steemit, I had done a lot of blogging and website opening, but because of my location (am a Nigerian, I found it hard to get my ideas to an audience that I felt would benefit from it. One of the tricks I tried using was typing **www.google.co.uk**  instead of **'www.google.com.ng''**,just so I could know what was going on on the other side of the world.the experiences are so enormous, but in summary, I'll like to say that this is an opportunity for Africa, , Asia, Europe, America, America, to make a difference in the life of anyone, anywhere. The is no longer reason to give excuses. 
I feel like the restrains have been let lose. I feel like a bird whose clipped wings have be let go, with the skies being my play ground, giving me the opportunity to let go of that God given talent within me.

A big thanks to @ned for this platform,and to you @surpassinggoogle, not for designing this platform, but for making us see the hidden talent lieing in us, that we were not aware of.

I see @ned as Moses, and you as Joshua, that helped hold Moses' hand while he was holding the staff on top of the hill. Without your constant effort we would not have been able to make proper use of this platform.

I have just one prayer, that God will continue to strengthen your hands, so that you'll continue to be of tremendous mentorship and help towards us. God bless.

Let me share to you my reflection since yesterday, that God never gives us trouble and pain that we cannot afford to bear. That we must see Christ even through the most painful situation of our lives.

This is a wake up call for me, after grieving for so many months now with the loss of my first born child.

This time of the year actually is the most difficult but im thriving to renew and strengthen my faith

I know it’s easier said than done but if only having faith is what we can donto continue to breathe each day of our lives, so be it...

This is the most interesting article I've read here in steemit so far. Im new here and I've heard your name from the people who recommended steemit to me and I followed you. Thnx for sharing you amezing experience with internet. How things improved with time and all ups and downs. And for pointing out that there is still a lot of aspects to be covered to make steemit appear 1st in every aspect of it. One question that I wanted to ask is, as on Google owns all the traffic earning form their user. In similar way posts that already past it's payout period but still making appearance in top search, so is any kind of revenue is generated from that content, if yes who own that money. Just eager to know.

Before the one of our last hardforks, there used to be additional earning even post payout, i think for the next 30 days but it was converted to 7 days payout straightup, without additional earning after payout. Old posts still rank though but no revenue generated. Perhaps, in the future someone or you will find ways to maximise old posts even revenue-wise. Let's see

Internet never got boring when I started in the Steemit platform. :D
It actually gets more exciting as days come and met a lot more of Steemians online and even in person through events.
