You wouldn’t compare the Philippines to USA for instance, in terms of development.

Superficially though, you’ll find a few similarities! I mean infrastructure-wise, there tends to be at least 'a form of the things obtainable in developed countries', in the Philippines.

So if you want to see the Trump building in Manila; it is here:

Or just incase, you want to have a taste of Italy, while in the Philippines, look below:

In generally, Filipinos are colonially inclined!

Measuring the Philippines from its level of development; "hyped reserved culture"; religious surface etc, there are many things that will never cross your mind as obtainable here once you are landed on the nation!

You may be told instead, of a 'not-very-rich-country'!

It will definitely shock you a bit, if you saw every random kid on the streets, rocking some Yeezy kicks!

As days pass by however, if you are one who knows how to read situations; you will instantly understand, the nature of the country!

Shallowness is prevalent; incessant merriment is a way of life and these brings along a casual outlook towards life.

"Anything goes"; "Let the problem take care of itself"; "it is more fun in the Philippines"; "Only in the Philippines"; "rice, rice, rice"; is all that gets told, as you start to understand the country a little bit beyond its preface!

You start to understand things better as you see kids on the street smoking, along with the huge population of smokers; in a nation that isn’t yet western and in a nation that isn't cold Finland.

You start to understand how a religiously inclined nation and one with reserved women, has so many teen mothers; so much bar nudity; gambling; guns etc

But there is something that will hardly ever cross your mind as something that can too prevalent here!

It took me 3 years, to know that the innocent kids playing on the street take drugs or some form of it! I would ordinarily think drugs to be expensive and hard to obtain. I mean, a typical Filipino doesn’t make much money, let alone the kids but yes, the number of people who take drugs in the Philippines is alarmingly unbelievable!

The societies here, aren’t societies to isolate you or teach you or direct you on the right path! It is one to spur you on, even if you are killing yourself as long as you are having fun! You can drink alcohol for ever and free in the Philippines, just by walking the streets!

Once it becomes obvious that drug-use is rampant, your eyes start to get opened to just how rampant it really is and just how unhidden it is!

You will see Filipinos loving reggae songs for instance and just when you start to conclude; “a different Filipino for once”, you check again and you realize that his new found love for reggae is because there was drugs involved!

The popular drug here is shabu (meth) and I think it is very easy to obtain; because people have these drugs to use!

I mean people who clearly don’t have a means to livelihood have drugs to take! It must be really cheap and accessible.

Not to go too deeply into these things; we’ll look into what we are here for:

Duterte came along and the drug issue became a national crisis. The entire news in the Philippines became about drugs and killings: "Duterte’s war on drugs!”

His aim was clear even within his presidential campaign. "He will eliminate drugs from the Philippines even if it required extrajudicial killings".

He understood the Filipino people well. Killing was nothing to them! 'People can go on a motorbike and kill another for 1 dollar'; 'guns are everywhere'; 'in funerals, Filipino visitors will go there and laugh, eat and gamble all night in the name of wake-keeping', 'plus they love to endlessly laugh'.

Duterte knew all these and he made his campaign a comedy concert as he spoke about killing drugsters, 'in comedy ways'.

In general, there is never a funny way to talk about lost lives but in the Philippines everything sparks comedy as they just want to laugh!

Duterte got into office and drug-related killing arose dramatically drastically!

We don’t know what is true or totally true. It is rumored that extrajudicial killings have started as the number of drug-related deaths in the Philippines arose immensely since Duterte got into power but it isn’t established if these deaths were brought to effect by anonymous vigilante.

You decide!

The only really obvious thing is that there are patterns; common amongst all the drug-related deaths recorded since Duterte’s entry as president of the Philippines.

Below is little picture story that will lead you to other news sources, perhaps you will be able to come to some conclusion:

We start with confession from people who appear to be part of a vigilante gang recruited to execute the drug war:

* A husband and wife death squad claim that their vigilante gang have killed as many or more than 800 people in the Philippines' brutal war on drugs .

Haha, imagine how they justify their means of livelihood or murdering others by their need not to starve. RICE is all there is, really!

There group have claimed responsibility for a quarter of 2,800 extrajudicial murders which had occurred in the Philippines at the time of their interview.

In the main article, they say that they silence their guilt by reminding themselves that their target is a bad person. In their cycle of killing targets, it becomes hard to quit as they also fear, that they could get killed by their bosses, who would do everything to avert any possible snitching!

* Another women spoke of her role in carrying out murder of a few people: She was used part of vigilante as women attract less suspicion and have the ability to attract men!

IN HER WORDS: "I feel guilty and it is hard on my nerves. I don't want the families of those I have killed to come after me.

"I do not want them (her children) to come back at us and say that they got to live because we killed for money."

Now there are many death gone unnoticed or unmentioned, thus we will not go into numbers but it is evident that since Duterte became president here the number skyrocketed and Aljazeera says this number is close to 6,000 with more than 3,000 of the 6,000 killed by unidentified gun men. Duterte gave the police immunity when it comes to drug-cases thus more than 2000 of the killings were by the police!
