Reaching Out to Moving Scenes
Every time I reach for scenes passing by
They slip right through my fingers to the sky
Just one more step, just one more try

Something whispers deep inside
They say compromise is a gift to own
But you haven't changed, you're still on your own
Will we make it? Still we go
Is there freedom down this road?

Chasing after destiny's light
Leaving something behind tonight
If we end it, it might fade away
So I search for strength to stay

Drawing dreams of scenes yet unknown
Thinking I could change more than I've shown
Tell me I'm not wrong to feel this way
As I gather fragments fading day by day

Still not enough, can't we go on?
This is what I wished upon
Will we make it? Still we go
Is there freedom down this road?

Chasing after destiny's light
Leaving something behind tonight
If we end it, it might fade away
Let me sway between these days

Rebuilding castles as they fall
Gazing at the sky growing tall
To grasp the days I've yet to see
Reaching past where traces be

As I get older, I have too many things I want to do and chellege to do,

I sometimes think, “Is this something worth doing? I sometimes wonder if it's worth it,

I sometimes feel lost.

This work was written at such a naïve time.

Now that I have narrowed down what I want to do, 

I think it is important to keep moving forward and not to give up.

流れる景色に手を伸ばすたび
指の隙間からこぼれ落ちてく
あと少し あとひとつだけ
胸の中で何か囁いた

妥協も才能らしいけれど
君は相変わらずだね
間に合わない？ でもやるんでしょ？
その先に「自由」はあるの？

運命の灯 追いかけながら
今日も何かを置き去りにする
終わらせたら消えてしまうから
次の糧を探してるんだ

まだ見ぬ景色を夢に描く
もっと変われる気がしていたんだと
間違いじゃないと言い聞かせて
消えゆくカケラ集め歩く

まだ足りないんだ、まだやれるでしょ？
僕が望んだことだから
間に合わない？ でもやるんでしょ？
その先に「自由」はあるの？

運命の灯 追いかけながら
今日も何かを置き去りにする
終わらせたら消えてしまうから
その狭間で揺れていたい

崩れゆく城を積み直しながら
遠ざかる空を見上げていた
まだ見ぬ日を掴むために
手を伸ばす軌跡の向こうへ

年齢を重ねるごとにやりたい事やチェレンジしたい事が増えすぎてしまって、

自分で始めたにもかかわらず「これはやる価値があるものなのか？」とふと考えてしまったりもして、

迷子になってしまう時があります。

そんなナイーブな時に書いた作品です。

今はやりたい事が絞れてきたのでとにかく前に進む事、そして諦めずそれを続ける事が大切だと思っています。
