My Journey to the Great Sphinx

<p><strong>You can travel anywhere in the astral with visualization. The technique is known as Visualization of a Place, and simply involves concentrating the mind on the place you wish to astral project or travel to, by placing yourself there and recreating the place through all of your senses.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Below is one such experience resulting from using this technique.</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<img src="https://i.imgsafe.org/3c3d1d8003.jpg" width="721" height="1080"/></p>
<p>I decided with a group of friends to make a goal to astral travel to the Great Sphinx in Egypt. I knew a little bit about the Sphinx, that it was near the pyramids of Giza, and had some sort of esoteric significance, but I wanted to experience it on a whole other level. I knew this was possible through astral projection.</p>
<p>I knew it was very important to be interested in the goal, so to help spark the interest, I began reading a bit about the history of the Sphinx. Like much of Ancient Egypt, there remains an air of mystery about it. I began to get very motivated to get there to find out more about it for myself rather than just reading!</p>

<p>Each day I chose a picture to help with the visualization practice. I spent just 10 minutes in these practices – placing myself before the Sphinx, walking in the sand, feeling the heat of the sun, touching the stone of the body, and so on. At night I practiced the mantra Egypto for astral projection. I was very keen and would remember throughout the day that my goal was to reach the Great Sphinx, so I would try to be as aware in the present moment as much as possible, and question what dimension I was in with Reality Checks.</p>
<p>After a week unfortunately I hadn’t made it. I did however have a dream where I was studying pictures of the pyramids, and I took this as a good sign. I decided to not give up and go for another week, this time using the mantra Fa Ra On, but still visualizing pictures of the Sphinx each day.</p>

<p>Maybe three days into the second week, I woke up in a dream, realizing I was in the astral in some building. Quite happy, I tried not to get too excited and ruin the experience, but remembered my goal straight away.</p>
<p>I saw a lift nearby. I decided to ask to use this as a doorway to Egypt. I asked with a lot of yearning, pressed the button, and much to my surprise and joy, the doors opened and beyond was the sun, sand, and heat of Egypt. And the Great Sphinx right before me.</p>

<p>I stepped through in wonder looking up at the majestic statue rising above me. I couldn’t believe I was actually there. The sensations were so amazing, standing there in the warmth of the sun and beholding this wonder. I placed my hands on the paws and seemed to feel every bump and crevice in the stone as I moved my hands. It was simply… amazing.</p>
<p>I looked between the paws and saw a plaque with hieroglyphs. I had read about this in my earlier research. To my delight, the hieroglyphs morphed into a message for me, personal for my life at the time. I felt I had been given something incredibly valuable. A moment later I woke up in my bed.</p>
<p>I lay for a while soaking up what had just occurred, trying to remember every detail before writing it down. Once again I confirmed that with persistent effort, experiences are there to be had. It’s so rewarding! To know that we have this quite magical world to explore and learn from, where we actually go every night. We just need to have goals and motivation to achieve them, and not give up.</p>

When I was a teenager I tried the astral projection and occult studies road to self-achievement  but without much success. In the end I took the scientific fact, and rational thought road of study to help get my sense of place in the universe.  It seems to have been the correct road for me, but I am also rational enough to recognise that there are many roads that can be travelled. Though the Astral Projection, occult studies, astrology, routes were not functional for me, does not mean they will not work for someone else.

I enjoy my nightly travels.  Much like a night of drinking in excess, I tend to forget where I've been.  

This was an interesting read and I enjoyed it.  I'm curious though.  Where were you when the photos were taken?  That's a nice beach.
